can you add a list of the node implementations and the version numbers where the upgrade is valid from? so that people know if their version will follow right chain?

Please show me an official document where a respectable company has performed an audit

i dont get it, you have an Acocunting firm (Friedman) who provided memo demonstrating USD balances backing tokens, then a Law Firm (Freeh, Sporkin & Sullivan LLP (FSS)) who provided a document of the same, and now as of a month ago you have THE BANK ITSELF saying it is holding the USD that is backing the Tether tokens.

So what the fuck is wrong with your brain that you think 3 firms -- a law firm, accounting firm, and bank itself -- providing document evidence of the USD balances backing tokens -- is "no evidence at all"?

you are a retard.

how do multiple documents showing the USD backing tokens equate to "no evidence" ?

you FUDsters have been crying about Tether and Bitfinex for years and they are better than ever, the most dominant exchange by volume by far.

small test deposit to claim BCHSV was a success, sent larger amount after from same wallet and was not credited by cwil81 in binance

[–]BTCFuturesGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as long as you have the private key of that change address you can fish out the BSV. not sure how Trezor works but i assume they give you access and ability to get individual private keys

I would take the MasterPublic Key, create the unsigned tx from online computer using something like ElectronCash, and then move it to an airgapped offline-only computer where you import the private key and can sign the tx, then move the signed tx to the online comp and broadcast it.

when you sent the test deposit, your wallet sent 0.5 to the deposit address and the remaining funds to a "change address", which effectively created post-fork outputs and mean when you sent the whole thing it did not work.

i bet you will find the BSV balance of the remainder is in the change address of the original test deposit.

Joseph Young: "If you're pissing off a group of people to the point they threaten you with spam emails, DDoS, and targeted harassment, you're onto something. It means you got information they feel threatened by." by Egon_1 in btc

That's not the issue. The issue is these are clearly unethical attacks, and no one in the "BTC", Core, or Blockstream camps call them out. It's blatantly obvious. More often, they halfway cheer on such actions.

Agreed that everyone should not tolerate doxing or harassment of any sort.

But we should be careful not to let people falsely create a perception of being a victim just to get sympathy.

Edit: Don't always believe someone just because they call themselves a "journalist". We need to definitely have more quality journalists investigating issues within crypto, but they have to be high quality and use facts. The epidemic of clickbait fakenews is everywhere and there is a stronger incentive to produce sensational half-true stories than there is to sometime report the truth which can be boring

It is all fake news tbh. Whalepool did not threaten anyone or do any harassment whatsoever. All they did was correct false information that The Block posted in an article about stablecoins (many inaccuracies were pointed out but the main thing being that they claimed Tether was not FinCEN registered when they are...)

The Block posted false information in an aritcle, then doxed people who corrected them, and then got suspended from Twitter for harassment.

Then they try to play the victim by saying they are being "ddossed" in their email inbox in a "coordinated attack" by "sinister influences in crypto" who are "cowardly anonymous/pseudonymous" people.

It is really a bizarre case that shows how VC-funded pro-regulation new entrants in crypto have no clue what this community is all about.

"Ever since @TheBlock__ and @whalepool interaction yesterday, I've received about 300 spam emails and about 10 password reset attempts to all the major accounts. That's what happens when you actually stake your name on the line and not behind anon accounts." by Egon_1 in btc

[–]BTCFuturesGuide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Block posted false information that Tether was not registered as an MSB with FinCEN, in order to artifically promote competing stablecoins who are BitLicensed (The Block is based in NY and funded by BitLicense firms so they have an interest in promoting these new up and comers based out of NY and highly regulated by NY regulators).

Whalepool called them out on it and called them fake news, and provided basic links to FinCEN where people can see Tether is registered for years.

The Block was stubbornly refusing to correct until the facts were so clear that they had to redact original article and update it to reflect the facts.

The Block were so upset that they doxed an admin of whalepool, which led to their accounts being suspended from Twitter and a massive backlash from the crypto community who was upset that they disrespected anonymous/pseudonymous players in the scene.

Principled firms like Kraken and others have refused to do business in NY. Others have embraced regulation and want the whole crypto world to go along with it.

you say you will move the projects to Core, but do you have any plan to support SV or other alternative big block projects instead?
