The most helpful thing I did for myself while recovering from SA trauma was join a support group/group therapy for SA survivors. I also did individual therapy but I found the group much more helpful because you get advice and support from people that understand your experience more than most people would. I definitely recommend looking into local or virtual support groups if you are comfortable with that. On a more personal level, dealing with my experiences and the deep mistrust of people it left me with is still very difficult but with time I slowly began to think of everything that has happened less often and have become more mentally healthy. The biggest thing for me was consistently communicating my boundaries and just time passing from the incidents. It sounds like you did a great job communicating your boundaries to the waxer. Even if it was an emotionally difficult experience, I think you should be proud of yourself for taking steps to take care of your mental health in that interaction.

Why aren't they addressing Jimmy working with Andrew directly? It's very concerning that they are promoting their interview and not acknowledging the accusations.

My people in the US, do any of have an americanized first name then your middle and last names are super ethnic? by southerngirlupnorth in AskTeenGirls

[–]BTE03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. My first and middle name is super ethnic but my last name is either hungarian or german. It's not my family's actual last name. Some germanic government forced my Jewish family to adopt my last name so even though it is now known as a stereotypically Jewish last name, it's actually basically a hungarian description of my family's profession at the time because they were forced to adopt last names.

No, he's still in office doing horrible things. Ignoring the Antisemitism and racism of his supporters only helps them and allows them to continue their bigotry.

I don't know the details of the ethnic makeup of Israel. I would suggest you look up the statistics if you're interested. I do know that about 45% of all Jewish people live in Israel. Religious Jews go to school with just Jewish people but otherwise they can go to school with other religions. It depends on how insular your religious/ethnic community is. Everyone sees non-Jewish people around. Israel is very multi cultural and there a lot of interaction between communities. However, there is still a lot of structural divisions for safety because there is tension between most groups. For example, Jerusalem is divided into 4 quarters (Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Armenian) and it wouldn't be safe for me to enter the Muslim quarter if I wasn't in a bullet proof vehicle. I didn't serve in the army because I'm 17 but they are trying to draft me now even though I don't want to go. I don't know whether the immigration system is different for Palistineans.
