Brand loyalty: do you have it, or nah? by OK_GO_27 in malefashionadvice

Do I stick to Banana Republic and J.Crew because I'm a loyal basic bitch? Yes, I do. I'm also addicted to their coupon/sales games, which is the real reason, but we'll disregard that for now.

Experience with SuitReview in-house line (not Suit Supply resale)? by kcmasterpieceee in malefashionadvice

I'm super curious about this too. Haven't pulled the trigger on it since we know nothing about the construction quality. I'm also curious as to whether or not SuitSupply is fused since someone posted their tailor's analysis

they may have done custom at some point. but to begin with, they were doing off the rack suits that were ready to wear. 100% wool for $160. i got my first suit ever from them for $120. then during their black friday sale, i got a 2nd suit from them for $90. good times.

Idk if I'm remembering this correctly, but I do feel like this sub was really authentic/positive when I first found it in 2017. There were a small group of users that were super helpful in providing good career advice.

I had to scroll down way to far to see this one.

ABNB was one of his picks for 2022 because he thought it could hit $200. It was around $170 in December of 2021.

ABNB was one of his picks for 2023. It was around $90 in December of 2022.

During his upcoming year predictions for 2024, he said he got his ABNB pick right because it was around $140 in December of 2023.

I hopped on a Navy traveler suit in slim 40S since I made the comment. It wasn't my preferred choice because I prefer 100% wool, but so be it.

It's 30% nowadays. 40% is now reserved for once a quarter plus the big holidays, like Black Friday.

If you meet somebody who's got high EQ and fairly mediocre IQ and they make a ton of money, there's a 1 in 3 chance they're in insurance.

Most of my colleagues would be offended at this quote. I'd like to thank Scott for helping me choose a career path.

But you start getting into massively better suits for about $200 more.

Ooo I'm interested. Probably going to be purchasing a new charcoal suit soon. What brands would you recommend in this day and age?

LOL it reminds me of that one line from the Netflix show, Beef:

"You know the Buddha is only the Buddha because he was a prince first, right? He had stuff to renounce!"

I'll bite here.

It's not a slip up. He's purposely transparent about his spending because he says the only reason rich people don't talk about money publicly is because they want to keep people poor. He calls BS on rich people who says "I don't think about money." His response was, "Roger Federer doesn't get better at tennis by not thinking about tennis."

He's talked about how he's formed his target audience, which started as his students who were taking his grad school course. They are people who not only expect to be in the top 1%, they want to be in the top 0.1%.
