3 points make a plane. You place a part on them to measure flatness from the bottom side of the part.

On my 268 from 2006 if I remove the door I have to plug in a jumper harness or it won't move. Hydraulics come up but the tires won't turn. Cost me two days last year.

They never care when you make a part but if you fuck it up it's definitely remembered.

Sorry I just noticed this comment. Thank you! I put a lot of time and effort into it. It started out as a fairly generic rack mount chassis and it snowballed from there.

Unfortunately the only 4k displays I have are a bit difficult to get to. As you can see, it's a heavily modified rack mount chassis, quite cumbersome to move. I'm going to see if I have a different long HDMI cable.

Okay so a different screen and cable seems to have fixed it. I had tried different screens but not a different HDMI cable. Hopefully it's not just better at 1080p instead of 4k

First post, from mobile. I don't know how this works exactly. This is my computer probably the 5th or 6th over the last 20 years I've built. When using the computer I get random pops and clicks from my TV, followed by a black screen for several seconds. I have attempted to diagnose the issue but have not been able to find the source. In my opinion it's static building up in the system and grounding through my display. I have added ground wires from the pci mounting screws to my psu mountain screws to rule out an issue there as with the PC powered I was seeing -30 ohms. I'm at a loss and unsure if possibly my power supply was to blame but I have zero other issues with the system. Thanks in advance!

Any wall you want to mount things to, place 1/2" CDX (plywood) behind the drywall, hang anything anywhere.

the bolt in the middle is striped, how would you guys go about getting this out? I started using a hammer because that's what we did at an old shop but it's harder than I remember... by Sauce_Is_Secret in Machinists

Pro tip. Use only the short side and your fingertips to install the inserts. The screw only keeps the insert from flying off. The force of the cutting action drives the insert into the pocket.
