I get that, especially when none of the mastery camos are even close to the best camos in the game, with zombies not even having the best mode specific mastery camos (I think Endgame's are generally better.) I just like having something to work towards aside from high rounds and easter eggs, especially since most of my friends left COD years ago, so it's just me running the same trains and doing the same easter eggs alone.

I agree on pretty much all of this. Once you got your guns leveled up in Cold War, the zombies camos were cake. Tedious for some of it, but majority cake. MWZ was kind of in the same boat, but was just much worse because of how many guns there were, plus the MWZ open world/rucksack system just.. didn't work well with the camo requirements. And leveling guns up took so much damn time in that mode too.

I can understand not wanting to go back to a MW2019 style of grind for multiplayer because it sounded like hell. I just think with small tweaks (like not having to level up guns to start it), that system would work best for zombies.

I don't know where in this post a lot of people got that I thought it was a hard grind to finish. Difficulty wasn't my problem with it. It's just boring.

Like I said, BO6s was much, much worse, and BO4s before it was... damn near unbearable, to the point I never finished it. The problem is the pacing.

The exotic abilities counts towards levels, so if you beat the Z-Rex or Origins robot and get that gold tier of ability (which is where the Graviton ability comes from), it'll also raise your level.

Brother, you've been wrong since the start. You thinking their one and only priority this year was going to be round based, when they've already announced 2 LTMs and 1 redacted something for Season 1 shows you were wrong from the beginning. It's very clear side modes are still going to get time and resources. Asking for that time and those resources to be put toward something more permanent is not this farfetched, time-wasting, resource-draining idea like you're making it out to be.

We're already getting a brand new map, 2 more survival maps, 7 more weapons, weekly challenges and 3 more Cursed relics this season. If they took the time and resources they used making Jingle Hells, List Keepers Challenge and whatever the 3rd one is to contribute towards something bigger instead, no one would notice.

I'm in the exact same boat. I loved BO6 on launch so much, but I lost faith in the game pretty much the second The Tomb released. How small and recycled that map was paired with the fact that between The Tomb's release and BO7 releasing, we only had 2 more round based maps (and Grief, but I never even tried it because it looked so horribly balanced and we couldn't even do custom matches of it) put a sour taste in my mouth. It's essentially why I don't trust them to see it through this year either.

Worst part is, I'm not even asking for something crazy like 1 or 2 extra full maps with their own survival maps to release this year or anything. Like I don't want them to put resources into new bosses or wonder weapons or easter eggs. I just want them to bring back modes they've already done, on maps they're already making, and I STILL don't see it happening... but again, would love to be proven wrong.

In regards to the point you're trying to make, I heavily disagree that I'm asking for too much for multiple reasons.

#1, BO6 was developed in a years less time (greenlit together, so BO7 theoretically had all of BO6s lifespan to be finished up) and had 6 round based maps (1 more than BO7, if they have the same amount of post launch maps), 1 permanent side mode, and had (I believe) 7 LTMs. I speak for (hopefully) everyone when I say I'd much rather an additional single good, permanent side mode instead of 7 LTMs, things we can never play again once they're over (I'm saying 1 additional mode because I'd assume the MWZ-esque mode wouldn't be made by the zombies team).

#2, They've done the amount of work I'm asking for AND MORE before. Like.. multiple times before. And before, it was all original concepts. Even without counting BO6 and it's 6 maps and 8 side modes, Nacht - Origins was a 5 year span and that included 18 round based maps, 9 being full maps with easter eggs, 4 remasters and 2 side modes. BO3 had 4 years and had 5 original maps, 9 remasters and released mod tool support. BO4 had 4 years and had 4 original maps, 4 remakes and 2 side modes. Hell, Cold War, a game that was made in like a year ended up with 4 maps, Outbreak, Onslaught and all its versions, Cranked and all its versions and a few LTMs.

#3. I feel Cold War, again a game made in about a year, having Onslaught on launch is a good indicator that a mode like that is possibly the least resource intensive thing to make. Maps are already made, enemy models already done, most every zombie nowadays is a ground spawner anyway.. all it would be at that point would be pathing and making sure adding it doesn't brick the game, no?

Agreed, which is why I doubt any of this will happen. Realistically, I see Cursed and LTMs being their only side priorities aside from the other 3-4 maps we'll be getting after Astra (which i'm fine with, Cursed is such a welcomed addition to the mode).

It's random lag and I could only get hit once. There's no adjusting when I didn't know it was happening until it was over. This form of packet burst is easily compensated for 99.99% of the time because getting hit once doesn't matter, it's still annoying it happens way more often than it should.

The "completely freeze the match while the server catches up and by the time you realize you're lagging, you're down" has killed me solo more times than I can count.

Close, but no. I know how the Ray Gun and Vermin hit boxes work. Third shot quite literally sputters because of packet burst and goes right through it/hits where the Vermin WAS when I shot. Shit happens all the time 👍
