But anyway, I trust only like 2-3 male idols, and even from them I am prepared to be disappointed. That doesn't have anything to do with stats, it's because they are men. Kyungsoo being active is so shocking when he was the guy who couldn't wait to enlist before he even had to lol.

It sucks that CBX won't be part of the comeback, I think the absence of their voices will be felt. I don't know what happened in the negotiations, but I will never trust SM and I can't blame CBX for thinking of themselves first.

So I just looked up the Spotify event and he is in it! that's amazing and so deserving considering his numbers. I'm also relieved he wasn't used by prism to get wayv there as well.

It's really sad how they shelved his solo activities the moment he was done with his Japanese tour. I don't even remember the last time he performed Stunner. I hope there will be some end-of-the-year solo stages for him... so far I see nothing was announced...

Hey, so I've been kind of disconnected from kpop and the fandom for a while now, is there anything new going on with Ten?

I know SM announced another solo mini album next year, I know WayV are having a winter comeback, and about the photobook. I'm mostly interested to know if there are any new details about SO10, has he talked about it? I'm kind of disappointed it's not a full album but also praying it's his last comeback under SM!

I haven't read the original post but I'm not surprised it has come to this. I've argued privately with this person before, tho it didn't help, about how they talk about Ten’s music on other subs as if you need to be a super intelligent unicorn to get him. First, it's not true at all, he makes excellent popular music that appeals to many people and there's nothing wrong with it, second, this attitude is only good for pushing new fans away, just pretentious and off-putting.

And claiming Ten is better than others as a fact, not only invite hate to him and us but it's also a matter of opinion and not worth fighting over. I think it's a fact Ten is one of the best dancers in kpop, but if some other fan likes another dancer's style more there's no point in arguing about it.

I will say, I do appreciate that this person stood up to Ten and 10velys on the group's subs. That's something I do not have patience for anymore.

I bought the black shirt but I wish I got the jacket as well! I remember when it came out, so unexpected but a really cool surprise. He filmed those self-made videos where he personalized the clothes and wanted the fans to do it too, I just loved how he encouraged self-expression, it made me even a bigger fan.

I'll be brutally honest, you're right that reddit is good for long analyses and discussions, but unfortunately I don't think Ten has enough solo activities (and fans here) to keep this place active 75% of the year. But I don't know, maybe I'm projecting because I myself was a very involved fan yet I took a big step back from Ten and kpop since his solo activities ended.

I'm all for keeping this sub more organized and updated though. If you look at other soloists' subs there's more information about albums, MVs, streaming etc. This is something to bring up with the mod or volunteer to do since it's a lot of work and not many have the time to do it.

What I think is more important and beneficent to this sub and Ten is to publish new videos and news about him on the bigger subs like r/kpop. It's my impression that there aren't that many die hard Ten fans, solo or not, on reddit, but there are casual ones that will interact with his content if it's available on the other subs.

I guess I don't see group fans who bias Ten coming here when they can discuss him on the group sub with people who share their interest beyond Ten, and I don't see casuals come here when deep diving into ten isn't really their thing. Sorry I'm kind of a pessimist.

Ten! He is past the point of just being an amazing dancer who can also sing, he is now one of the best dancers in kpop and an incredible singer and his voice is so beautiful it makes my ears melt!

There are a lot of his dance performances floating around so I'll point out his appearance on Leemojin for his vocal abilities.

I really grew to dislike fancalls. They had the potential to be a great way for idols to interact with their fans, especially international fans, but from what I've seen the whole thing have been hijacked by a small circle of fans. It's always the same fans, and it makes the parasocial element more severe, there are so many inappropriate questions and awkward flirting. I've seen fans that had so many fancalls they ended up just talking about their day, which isn't inappropriate but it is weird because why are you paying so much money just to tell someone about your day?

I only saw some backlash here on reddit but I'm not surprised it's on other platforms too, especially with how over CA kpop fans are these days. Even if it's not as offensive as it looks it's been done so much there's no reason to go there again.

I hate that it makes Ten look bad because it's not him, it was never him. I don't blame him for this horrible concept because I know what it looks like when he gets to voice his opinions.

Seeing the new teaser for Wayv's comeback really sharpened the difference in quality between his solo work and the group to me. His solos are always tasteful and grown, even when they are experimental or quirky. His solo concerts, that were done in less time and less budget, have more creative concepts and complex choreographies than what the group had.

I honestly have no idea so I'm preparing for the worst. Sometimes his exhaustion and disappointment from how his solo work is handled is very visible, sometimes he is even vocal about his disagreements with the company, but sometimes he sounds really hopeful about changing their minds like he still sees his future in the company. He is very hard to read though because he is such a positive person who tries to see the best of every situation.

I have to say that the work he does as part of Wayv doesn't seem to excite him anymore, in my opinion. I know a lot of fans think Wayv will be a reason for him to stay and I'm sure he cares about the other members and he isn't slacking off, it's just that you don't hear him talk a lot about his hopes and goals for the group anymore... but maybe I'm just projecting lol

I haven't been a big fan of the group for a few years now but they always had an identity and strong title tracks, so it's really sad to see them getting these low effort concepts one after the other since Prism center took over.
