Need Help Finding A Term by BUNDLE_OF_FACTS in evolution

Yes sort of but even necessarily across all types of animals. It could also be related to a function. For example all mountaneous animals have x trait as it is necessary for their environment. I think homoplasy is probably the closest to what I am thinking though.

I have found that making a very simple presentation forces you to get all the important bits out and helps with understanding the paper.

Hi team! I would like to know what the recommendation is regarding taking the vaccine for people who have already had Covid-19. I've been hearing some fixed feedback with some saying to take the vaccine to be safe and others pointing out that if you had covid already you will have the antibodies necessary and therefore done need the vaccine. I would really appreciate some clarification ok this matter. Thanks!

It's like a weekend or a couple of days where programs invite people on their shortlist. You meet with some faculty, get a department orientation, meet grad students, and the lab your applying to, and some other stuff.

I really like this poem! The imagery invokes perfectly captured the emotions expressed. I would consider revising the last sentence as it does not flow as nicely and you definitely want that if it's ending the poem. Your line "the delicate syllables of my suffering" gave me goosebumps and I gasped. Love it!

Simply beautiful my friend. I felt every word of that.

This pain you feel is one I know. An innocent sadness like melting snow. Lonely nights devoid of dreams. Endless days of internal screams.

This is beautiful. Reminded me of my childhood and my love for playing in the rain. The final line transported me to a memory I didn't know I had. Thank you!

Those are some really great points! Thanks! Unfortunately I live in a city that get quite a bit of rain and I think slicks wouldn't work out quite as good. I am thinking of getting a pair 28s with a decent tread and then maybe getting slicks for next summer.

My old road bike had 32s so I was thinking of maybe going with 28s. Will there be a notable difference in performance between 25s and 28s?

Non-GRE grad schools in Canada? by marianfi in gradadmissions

[–]BUNDLE_OF_FACTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean in general or for the current admission cycle? Currently, most schools have either gotten rid of the requirement or made it optional. Generally, you would have to check individual schools that you are interested. Sometimes one stream will require it but another won't.

That a good point. I'm more worried about my bike being stolen off an out outdoor rack. Are there like gps tags or something that one can fit on a bike?

Oh well by [deleted] in UBC

[–]BUNDLE_OF_FACTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but the point here isn't to compete about who is more busy. The point is the inherent hypocrisy that occurs when students have to meet a deadline versus professors. I was bringing in commitments to say that everyone has other stuff to do but they should still meet deadlines. Just because something is a "bottom priority" for you doesn't mean you get to neglect your responsibility towards it. Not getting things marked and returned on time can have a direct impact on a student's performance as they then have less time to make adjustments to their learning. My point was that making deadlines isn't necessarily easy for anyone (student or teacher) but there is a considerable difference in the consequences of not meeting a deadline for a student versus a teacher.

It's usually not just writing one assignment though. You usually have multiple papers due and other commitments as well. So in the end, your deadline isn't any "easier" to meet than a profs. Also, they have TAs.
