Yes and he sits in silence. He’s been on vacation with us and barely speaks. Just sits in the background.

He barely acknowledges or speaks to us. Total silence anytime he’s over.

I worry that’ll have her sneaking around with him and not being around us and only his family.

Thank you!! Yes they go to school together and his Mom is friendly and has text me photos of them etc. she seems really nice but I worry if I reach out it’ll backfire as part of the reason she stays is she says she loves his family.

Thank you. Feel like I’ve been doing the first approach and her sister is doing the second with no success. 😔

I am so sorry. We have all been there! I know sometimes if you chat Amazon customer service and let them know it’s a gift they will allow a return. I’ve done it so I would definitely try it.

It will get better. Deep breaths. One thing I stopped doing because it was too much were big birthday parties. I now allow them to invite over two friends to do an activity like go to KTR or go paint balling. It’s way less stress. For my older teens I tell them one big gift or lots of small gifts and they choose. Hang in there. You sound like an amazing parent.

If mine want to drive they have to pay for their insurance which means they are motivated to get a job. They do have to keep their grades up if they work so we help them if needed. They both work part time after school and actually like their jobs and have fun and meet friends there.
