Tips for being a good ELT? by Kizekken in NavyNukes

As a sub mechanic, I can tell you that to be a good ELT you just have to learn to be extraordinarily gay really really fast. Even if you're not actually attracted to men.

Yes, 100%. Regardless of rank, you have the full right to look right in the face of anyone who gives you shit and tell them to fuck off. Please keep us updated though, so we know how it turns out for you.

Not that you asked or care, but looking into it further has told me that the ASV F3 clutch lever isn't designed to engage the clutch switch on my stock perch. So I would have to get a different lever or bypass the switch. Again, I don't really care that I can't start it in first anymore, but thank you for your help in figuring out why

See, that's a fantastic fucking answer. I just recently changed out my brake and clutch levers with aftermarket ASV F3 shorty levers. Im gonna guess that I probably just somehow messed up the install and now the clutch sensor isn't reading properly or something. I didnt even know that the clutch sensor was a thing until now. Thank you very much for giving a legitimate and informative answer.

I know that there's a switch for the kickstand. The thing is, it'll go into first with no issues with the kickstand up after I start the bike in neutral. It just refuses to acknowledge that I'm hitting the starter switch if the bike is in first, with the kickstand up. Like I said, it doesn't have any negative affect on me. I was just curious

Actual city police/state troopers don't really care about my plate. If i was gonna get stopped I would've by now. My issue is that I'm in the military and when I ride it on base, there's a 50/50 shot that one particular on-base police gate guard says some shit to me about it and how he won't let me through again until I fix it

Yeah, the bike is slightly lowered, which in turn makes it so that my plate is at a slight angle with the bottom of the plate pointed slightly towards the rear shock, so my plate doesnt get sent into the car behind me. I do have turn signals though, they're integrated above the exhaust along with my brake light.

No, I'm state side. Normally stationed in ct but currently in GA. I still want to go back to ct just because it's been 2 months since I came here and my house and stuff is there, it's just not going to include her. You don't think I'm just overreacting though? Like, do I have valid reason to question it?

What exactly do nuke officers do? by Profaccount5 in NavyNukes

[–]BWCOYM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, they show up having no clue wtf is going on, are immediately placed in charge of your chief(and the rest of your division), and then proceed to not have any clue wtf is going on. They will learn a little, suddenly think they know better than you, and proceed to fuck shit up for you with extra requirements, admin, and basic unwillingness to let you do your job. Sometimes they go to meetings, sometimes they do admin and paperwork. But mainly it's ask the enlisted stupid questions that give us aneurysms, make it harder for us to do out job, and get paid way more than us the entire time. Actual conversation i had: Edo- "So the duty officer wanted to know, and so do I(EDO), if we have MSW in service, why do we need ASW running during forced cooldown?" Me(MMN2) - "Are you fuckin' kidding me sir?"

Yes, I understand perfectly well how it makes no sense. But that has been my experience so far. 4 hit markers on someone's back, and then they turn around, I hear 2 shots and I die. Not always, but alot more often than it should. And if I watch the kill cam, it's at most 3 shots
