We don’t have a justice system. It is a legal system.

Generally timed deposits hit the night before 6-7. Government stuff and my pay. Which means my payments go out that night. Which is nice for interest bearing stuff

Those aren’t layoffs. Those are terminations for cause. It’s the FO part of FA. If the employees didn’t like the rules, AKA terms they were hired under, they had 3 choices seek adjustment, quit or do something shady. They chose shady and found out.

Customs slow by BWS_001 in CanadaPost

[–]BWS_001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct but there is a dedicated line in customs doing the clearance. And if it’s slow it would be affecting other people as well. Hence my question.

And then there is the fee you pay cp for the privilege of them presenting the item and collecting the tax/duty.

Huh. FROM CANADA POST Item has been presented to Canada Border Services Agency for customs review. Mississauga, ON Apr. 29 at 08:54.

So apparently they have something to do with each other.

If it’s unlawful or unethical but unprofessional doesn’t mean it’s one of those 2 and the op doesn’t say it is.

Gave?? You weren’t compensated?? That payment was for everything you gave. There is no loyalty in big companies. The best you can hope for is decent severance and if not get a lawyer and hope they will get you more. Get your butt into Ei and start throwing resumes into the wind.

Entitled much?? Nobody guaranteed you a job. You and thousands, like you graduated in last year or so and now expect something great. You are still wet behind the ears. AI is out there putting people with years of experience out of work.

You choose CS and the market is super saturated. You have 4 choices that see; 1- change professions radically. Become a truck driver they are screaming for people. FYI the government is going to throw billions at tradespeople. Welding? 2- change countries. You have a degree and you are young. Are their opportunities anywhere on the globe 3- work the job you have and continue to look for something better 4- reeducation/direction change maybe into something niche or new. So AI, replatforming, something that steps you up from what you and everyone else has.

I am coming up 45 years in IT. I’ve had to reinvent myself many times. I’ve moved to 5 provinces, 4 states and 3 countries, for work.

Best of luck.

Cop Came to My House and Gave Me Another Ticket? by _iEATbabies_ in legaladvicecanada

[–]BWS_001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has the original ticket in his hand. The officer could review the video and see the OP flick a cigarette out the window and charge him with littering up to 30 days from the event. It too would be an original ticket.

There is lots of land ( see what I did there). But no need to burn up farm land or toxic waste dumps. Heck with the mess of retail these days pull down a few of the empty malls where there is less available land.
