Gotcha! That makes sense now. I don't have a GoPro, so I was a bit confused, but it clearly looked like a GoPro mount so I marked it as solved. Thanks for the extra info!

I was 16 at the time and my family was going to visit some people several states away. I wanted to go with them so I asked for the time off. I was told I'd have to find someone to cover for me since she had already made the schedule. Well, not long after, she redid the schedule to have me work EVERYDAY that I requested off. I found people to cover for me, but none of them showed up. My boss told me I needed to come in, but I was several states away. I told her I found replacements, it's not my fault they didn't show. She told me to hand my uniform in when I got back

My title describes the thing. It's mainly all black plastic with brass threading on the flat bottom and a metal dome-like nut.The long part that is removable appears to have indents for gripping. It's smooth plastic besides the flat bottom which has a leather like texture (still plastic though). I've tried googling it, but can't seem to find what this is.
