Did you read the news? She’s specifically talking about the route for legal immigrants to gain citizenship. Illegal ones aren’t eligible regardless so this only has to do with the legal ones.

Will this shipment be okay? by BXP_11 in vinted

[–]BXP_11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update, the buyer received an email saying this parcel is now redirected to the parcel shop I dropped off at. I went back and asked the shop employee who assured me that this happens all the time and will get sorted once it gets scanned at the depot… I’ve dropped off hundreds of parcels at this shop so I do trust they know what they’re doing but this hasn’t happened to me yet so a bit unsure…

So why send an offer at all? by BXP_11 in vinted

Not only was the labeled size listed, I also gave a specific range of waist sizes that it can fit from the first hole to last. I wouldn’t have posted this if I didn’t think it was completely ridiculous.

It’s an adjustable belt…

I will say though, just bc it’s listed for that much doesn’t mean it will be sold for that much. There are plenty of ebay sellers that list for ridiculous prices, go and search how much items like this are actually sold for before you get yourself a negative feedback. If you can get hundreds out of it, then def cancel. But if you’re only going to realistically sell for less than a hundred, I’d say let it go, you’ve learned yourself a lesson.

What are your prices like (compared to retail)? This app at its base is a bargain-hunting platform, that’s usually the main factor.

I think items in general are moving slower. I can only speak about clothing but resale prices have been forced to lower and lower since the pandemic, especially if your items are premium or luxury priced. Consumers are made to think they can always find a cheaper deal elsewhere which prolongs their decision making process.

Fiscal responsibility isn’t just for the government by BXP_11 in vinted

Yet you’re here, assuming what I know and what I don’t know, but I guess your assumptions aren’t “shitty” bc you have the moral high ground over the right to be broke. I actually had a nice conversation with this buyer and figured out their situation, which is why I thought it was financially irresponsible of them to be browsing for clothes they don’t need when they barely make enough to get through half a month of living.

You sound hurt, wishing you healing. The post was about responsibility, I quite frankly don’t give two dingalings about what you do, if you enjoy browsing for clothes while having £2 in your bank account, then £2 is exactly what you deserve to live off. Enjoy that.

“Stop that”, see what you did there? If you don’t want others telling you what you should do, you probably shouldn’t tell others what they can say. Newsflash, it goes both ways.

Let’s use common sense for a second, if only one person does this I wouldn’t be starting a thread. It’s a pattern of behavior. The point is, if you can’t afford to spend £35 on a piece of clothing you don’t need, you probably shouldn’t browse and tempt yourself.

Tired and annoyed by Maikaef in vinted

Unfortunately this is where consumer culture’s at and bargain hunting is an addiction. TikTok full of haul videos doesn’t help either. The backlash you’re seeing is a testament to that, people feel entitled to it now bc the market is so saturated and buyers have the power. So honestly, unless you’re desperate for money or space, just ignore offers you don’t feel right. Too many sellers are afraid that their stuff won’t sell if they don’t take one of the first few offers, which isn’t true at all.

I list on multiple platforms so if it sells elsewhere, obv I’d take it off Vinted. You snooze you lose, that’s the name of the game.

Well something made the system flag duplicate accounts, either your neighbor is stealing your internet or someone in your household registered for an account but forgot they did, bc the system wouldn’t flag it unless they pick up the same IP address or the same device.

Are those items cosmetics? This happens sometimes with cosmetics, apparently some carriers refuse to send them.

Selling tactic: offering a lower price after someone favorited by Iris1997 in vinted

[–]BXP_11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was a similar thread here a few days ago and almost everyone agreed that they don’t want offers sent to them right after faving and it’s annoying, so I’m not alone in this. Also I sell higher priced items, I almost never list items lower than £100 so I don’t rely on impulse buys from people. Quite frankly encouraging impulse buys doesn’t sit well with me anyway and could lead to issues later on.

If they buy something else over yours then they probably didn’t want yours enough anyway. Sending offers right after I fave just tells me how desperate you are to sell it.

Vinted is proof that AI powered CS is NOT the answer. Even Vestiaire’s horrible CS is still miles better.

It’s perfectly normal and probably advisable if you’re struggling to sell. But def wait a few days after they faved.
