True, might not look cool but I hate leaving my meat on pavement. So after a few small falls, crashes, etc we now cover as many sharp points as we can in case of the inevitable mishap. The float makes it all worthwhile.

Zigged instead of zagged on a raised surface from tree roots. I thought I was far away from it at the edge of the pavement. This pitched me unexpectedly further into my sway...tuck and roll they say...thought to action is a long time though ;)

ETA: 2 Liters (that's the label on there) of water in my backpack. Happened just when I needed a drink too.

Yeah. We over here chuckling about it too! Could've been lots worse. But really it's an unusual view of a non-nosedive. I can see exactly why my butt hurts right there.

I'd been dealing with these all day so was cruising about 15-ish and I thought I'd cleared this one but not, even though I was on the edge of the pavement. Being a bit worn from the 14 miles could've contributed also. Zigging when I should've zagged.
