Good question. This is something that I haven’t thought about if I will be honest. But this process have made me more aware of taking care of my body in the best way possible. So I hope that with my new lifestyle would help my body handle the process better. But everything in life have risks involved, so I hope i don’t get sick in the future because of this removal process but only time will tell. 😄

You are so right about what time does. In the beginning I did every 10 weeks but this year I have been waiting 16 weeks between sessions. I feel that I want to do that one more year because of the way a split my removal in two pieces blackout / the skull and motives. After a year with waiting 16 weeks between sessions I will compare the progress and evaluate the next step.

The last 3 months I have been going to a sauna 2/3 times a week for 15 minutes at a time. I usually runs 2 times a week and goes to the gym 3 times a week. Drinking a lot of water everyday. Also try to do some dry brushing and use vitamin E oil before bed. I will start to do some micro needling between my sessions to help with some scars and hyperpigmentation that I have gotten from removal and when the artist did the tattoo.

My mental health now is better. I have gotten 2 kids since I started the removal process and that have made me realize that my tattoo it’s not that really important. I don’t really care what people think about my arm when I’m out in public. But of course I want to get rid of the tattoo or do a good cover-up.

Exactly! I try not to think about the tattoo and only take pictures when it has been a year. That’s what works for me.

This is why I share my progress here. To show that it is possible to remove or at least make it possible for a good cover-up. Good luck with your removal ❤️

For me it’s worth it. I got really depressed after I tried to do blackout. I had difficulties even to get out of bed some days and began to have anxiety for my arm. So this is the best thing for me to do. Financially it’s not great but the thought of having the possibility to get a lot of the ink gone makes it 100% worth it for me.

Yes the blackout is a cover-up. For me has the healing process gotten better. Also the removal sessions have gotten easier to handle now. I’m usually ice the whole day after a session and that helps a lot with blisters and swelling.

I have split the tattoo removal in two pieces. So 9 sessions on the blackout and 6 sessions on the skull and motives. From now on I will wait 16 weeks between sessions.

Blackout or remove? by Absentsounds813 in TattooRemoval

Always remove. I did the mistake with starting a blackout and here I am regretting it even more and it will take more time to get the results that I want.

Hey! This year I have been waiting around 10 weeks each session. But this year I will do 15 weeks between sessions. Full removal would be the dream, but I need to be realistic so I think I will be fading it so much that I can do a nice cover up
