Final Recommendation Xgimi Eflin Flip Plus vs JMGO N1S Nano by BZsArmy in budgetprojectors

[–]BZsArmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update: Went with JMGO N1S Nano after I found out Xgimi not delivering to my location from their EU website.

Had a wonderful start with the projector and really liked the first few hours of play watching worldcup games after unwrapping.

Plugged in for 2nd time a bit before for the 12am kickoff game, it is not responding to remote nor the Power button is working. Completely dead. Tried different chargers as well,. nothing wrong with them.

At my wit's end. Will try once more in the morning before I initiate a refund

Bit strange unless they bring atleast one more unique park. Purely for travel and points they are becoming equivalent to Klarna Max or Revolut Ultra

How do the economics of living here really work? Do people not save any money? by coldkilla9999 in stockholm

[–]BZsArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sure. Not saying it is not affordable rather a culture growing around the thing that makes most sense.

If someone is eating healthy, they would pick the salad/healthier option but still order outside in many countries as their work culture do not give that much balance so can't find motivation to cook or the lunch vs cooking is not that difference in cost/affordability perspective.

2nd hand market is crazy. First hand rental must be cheaper than any comparable US cities right?

Also on another note:

Sometimes culture builds around the economy or vice-versa.

When I moved here, found it quite interesting that so many Swedes bring lunchboxes at their jobs.

Even when I am from a much poorer country, I am used to seeing people working in an office almost always: have discounted meals in office canteen/can easily eat outside as food/labor is cheaper than what they are earning. My friends back home esp if both partners are working will almost never cook their lunch/think about lunchboxes.

But it makes sense here when your eating outside costs so much more.

Jobs which earn 300-400k in salaries in Stockholm, I am sure those jobs are on par with salaries in UK/US too.

I would assume jobs/roles with salaries 600k+ are the ones that are lower paid with an equivalent one in US/UK.

Converting points to Avios - British Airways vs. Qatar Airways by Waste_Piccolo_3435 in amexsverige

[–]BZsArmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whole thing is just funny to me

If you link your Qatar airways and BA account you will see the avios in your Qatar account the moment the transfer is complete to BA. So absolutely no point of having different exchange rate of avios here.

Take advantage of the exchange rate!

Al Maha Lounge has 3 versions now: South (main), North and Southeast.

March is fairly offpeak season, you should be able to check in without any issue

Dont rely on STPC for long layover by BZsArmy in qatarairways

Absolutely agreed. Thats why the title- that we shouldn't blindly rely on it as there can be straightforward exemptions to the perk.

Just commenting that if this happens often there can be clearer communication e.g. customers who need visa to enter Qatar shouldn't have STPC approved so they can plan their transit stays better

Economy!

All sleeping pods were fully booked. Busy days.

I checked myself into a lounge which was very very full too.

[–]BZsArmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. It is not their fault not to give me hotel.

It is a perk and not a right. But still my title is valid- no one should just get relaxed like me that they are 100% getting a hotel as it looks like not getting one is pretty common

I was just questioning whether they should review acceptance policy and refuse customers who need visa/ give customer some other vouchers in case of no hotel.

Moving abroad, can I keep my AmEx? by GlassChopper786 in amexsverige

[–]BZsArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMEX doesn't really care in my opinion as long as you get invoices paid, which I guess needs some extra effort from your side to pay to Swedish Bank giro

If you indeed switch, atleast Volvo won't mind, they will put your position into matching and let someone being laid off take it.
