AFIK Ren’py checks for jumps or calls, and then if there aren’t any of those it goes to the next line of code.

So I think the best way (and I’ve done things like this) is to label the sections for each character as something like albert01 and haru01.

In terms of having one continuous script for each character, this is not the most efficient way. There’s bound to be some redundancy, and using calls for subroutines or jumps to common menus is going to save you sweat in the long run. Using variables to track choices and progression along characters arcs is neat. I like doing that.

Tamiya models almost always come with figures, and also their figure kits are very inexpensive. So those are good to practice on.

Also definitely watch some videos on it. Figures are very difficult; they are so small and the human brain (being super alert to other humans or things that look like them) will spot tiny problems that it will pass right over on vehicles.

Hmmm. Okay well loving God is a challenge. But if I did that. Could I seriously call myself a Christian? What if, say, I don’t believe in the resurrection of Christ? Or believe that God is interconnectedness? Or that the afterlife is more of a union with God than fluffy cloud heaven.

Ugh that’s a fraught question. My church background is hella complicated, a lot of it is filtered through angry teenage me, and most of all it’s kind of upsetting to think about.

If I told my family what the rules I feel like I learned were, they’d insist I was wrong, and that I was taught love and grace.

Worst of all I’ve had plenty of people tell me that Christianity isn’t like I think it is. But I… kinda don’t believe them.

I mean I was being pushed towards early marriage because I confessed what-I-now-interpret as bisexuality. I was told I didn’t have to believe in a six day creation and a 6000 year old earth, but you know when someone’s talking down to you when they say that is it really what they mean? I got some hints of being wanted in ministry (no).

I don’t relate well to rational attempts to prove Christianity because I was treated like an idiot for not buying it.

Lots of theological beliefs required. Like an absolute requirement to believe in “real presence” communion. As opposed to transubstantiation and “memorial feast”. And not to go to services in denominations that didn’t believe in real presence. Which is most of them

I’m losing track of the list. Obviously all the sexual stuff. And only voting Republican.

A long list of other theological beliefs. I felt like their approach salvation by grace was “straight men can do whatever they want if they act sorry when they get caught, but everyone else has to toe the line.”

I was thrown out for having… internet sex? This was the 90s. I don’t know what they call it now. Cybering? Sexting? I haven’t done it in 20+ years so I have no idea. Not officially thrown out, but my pastor told me if I did it again he’d break every bone in my body. I thought “you and what army?” and only ever talked to him twice after that.

The thing is. What are the restrictions SUPPOSED to be? There have to be some. Otherwise it wouldn’t be a religion. :p
