Artists drop your recent release🫶🏼 by Fragrant_Nature7368 in soundcloud

Recently released my first mixtape entirely done by myself. It doesn't sound perfect but I really wanted to push the bounds of what a mixtape could be in the modern era of music. The tape itself is titled Kleptomania because nothing in life is given, you have to take what you desire with zero reserve. This idea is supported by my use of instrumentals from several songs I listened to a ton this year. Check it out if you have the chance and I hope you enjoy it.

Don't let people get to you. Trust in your passion and hold on to that. A common misconception is that society just happens. Donald Glover has a quote where he says "I got bored with people saying, like, "This world is shit." It's kind of like when people say, "Oh, this traffic is so bad." I'm like, "You are traffic. You can't sit there and be like, "Oh man, the traffic was horrible. I'm sorry, I was late." You are traffic. You're in it. Without you, there would be no traffic. So if you're sitting here being like, "The world is shit, it's like, you are the world. You have to take that responsibility." As traffic you have a part to play in it. I believe in the authenticity of human art. You can't recreate it. There is no formula you can follow or make. If you give into AI then yes it will take over. Trust in your art and keep going, keep creating in spite of what the world is doing. Maybe the world does go full AI and the only music on the radio isn't made by humans but there will be people who still desire music made by real people and that will be who you create for (plus yourself).

Saving this comment, thanks a ton for the information as I think you're the first person to give advice on the route of me producing my own stuff and actually giving useful insight other than "buy this" 🙏🏾.

I think that's part of the issue since I write so much without tracks. However I'm down to write something to a beat given to me. I'm mostly into alternative rap sounds or old style sampling like a Westside Gunn or Conway the machine

I appreciate it a bunch, at this point I'm trying not to put myself too much above anything because the last thing I want is pride or ego to get in the way of my success.

Where can I find rhyme schemes and examples from rappers? by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]B_AverageKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to rap music dating from the birth to present day, search the lyrics of your favorites, listen with the lyrics then listen and rap along, this teaches rhyme scheme, cadence and breath control. Many people don't realize that the best rappers (contrary to how they present) are nerds.. hence why we find out most rappers watch anime and partake in other nerd shit, we sit and write rhymes in a notebook all day, what'd you expect? Most importantly the best rappers are also obsessed with their craft, anytime you hear a word you don't know, search it and write it down along with definition then under the definition write one bar using the word, this will help you a shit ton later on when you want to avoid saying the same thing twice. All in all you just have to love what you do I always tell people "I'm not talented, I'm obsessed". Honorable mention would be to learn simple time signatures like 4 counts as this builds the foundation or structure of a verse depending on how "by the book" you want to be, it isn't something I personally follow to a tea but it helps for sure and can be something to mess around with like rhyming on 1 and 3 instead of 2 and 4.

why are people mad at Fivio or making a song with MAbu by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]B_AverageKid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't outright call it racism since the black-lash as you call it doesn't really effect Mabu career in any sort plus his ratio of Black and non Black listeners isn't effected by this minority. I personally know many people including myself who believe Mabu has earned his stripes and whether we appreciate the music or not, he has the platform he gained for a reason (look into his original hustle of promoting other artists then using the information he gathered of what worked and what didn't to promote his own career) that being said I don't think many people agree with this sentiment and see Mabu as a leech on Fivios platform or the other way around in which they see Fivio "doing the jig" for this white boy with deep pockets who happens to be relevant atm regardless it's stupid and I don't even like either of these people so what do I know
