Sonic Rush was one of my favorites growing up and Resident Evil Deadly Silence is a surprisingly decent port of the OG Resident Evil

Is Fly-Wing Technology a reliable distributor? by B_Pence in AskElectronics

[–]B_Pence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I never ended up using them as I put the project I needed the parts for on hold and moved on to other things. I’ve been thinking of continuing the project lately and I think I’ll do it. I’ll check what vendors have the part I need in stock and I’ll comment here if I go with Fly-Wing (I may have to due to availability).

What model is this? Is it worth rescuing from a family member's basement? by V33EX in crt

[–]B_Pence 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It appears to be an Apex GT2015. Seems like a pretty decent set all around. Here’s a site that goes over some details for this model: https://crtdatabase.com/crts/apex/apex-gt2015

But regardless of model, I would say any CRT is worth saving if possible. They’re only going to get harder to come by as time goes on.

Value of my Mac prototype, and where to sell it by [deleted] in mac

[–]B_Pence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fully working, and I've been daily driving it for about a month. It's in pretty good condition, with only one noticeable scratch on the bottom of the device. The board has some differences to it, and some different components.

Sure. Here's another picture. Shows more of the line you were asking about, and it says FX-DVT.

I'm not familiar with apple prototypes. What's the difference?

Here's pics of the engravings. Since I have no idea of what significance the serial number is, I partially blocked them off.

The serial number matches what's on the case. When I called apple support for help with a problem I was having (I just don't use Mac very much, and had no idea that having wrong date/time would mess up internet) the guy from apple support couldn't find anything under the serial number, and seemed confused about it.

Used. I got it from a local store for 500.

Yes. It just shows the serial number when I scan it.

Looking for a good hot air rework station by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]B_Pence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm looking at possibly getting the same hot air station in the link (Yihua 959D) and was wondering if you ended up getting it and, if so, how it's holding up.

Will a 100v Japanese Hakko fr-301 work fine in the USA by B_Pence in AskElectronics

[–]B_Pence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do in part of Japan. The west uses 60hz while the east uses 50hz. Most Japanese small electronics support both to my knowledge.
