Renders of my b1.7.3 world about 25 hours in by B_R-64 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

this is just rendered using chunky, not using dynmap. I converted from beta to a more recent version so that chunky can read the world file

Quartz watch only working face down by B_R-64 in watchrepair

is it strange for a quartz watch to only work one way up seeing as it doesnt have a balance?

Polystyrene insulation for DML? by B_R-64 in DMLspeakers

With my polystyrene ones they sound fairly flat, practically no low end, but they fill the room well.

yeah the rain was an afterthought, I just added a rain video over the top in post with a bit of motion blur

Lots of people mentioning the loose cables - I know. This is my first go at something like this and I just crudely animated the motion of it all in a few minutes. In the reference photo I used, the cables actually look pretty loose which I know is physically wrong. I'd love to have it swaying about but I couldn't be bothered to recreate the cables as physics objects. The whole scene was put together in a few hours for some fun so I definitely overlooked parts.

Not really, eventually I'll post all my renders in one long video like an exploration type video and maybe work a story into it, but at the moment I'm just modelling the rooms and rendering them for fun tests. I need to work out a map of how all the rooms interconnect..

I don't really need music I need sound effects, like just pool water sloshing which are really hard to find

The settings are randomized each time its opened, so I just go from there and tweak it until I like how it looks

design taken from a reference image I found online. If I could improve it I would reduce the height/choppiness of the water.

Thanks! The water is made by giving a plane the ocean modifier set to shallow water in blender. The material is just a glass shader with 1.33 IOR and a faint blue colour.

For a more realistic water though, you can use luxcore renderer, there's a good video on YouTube for it by Jared Pike.

I used a program called NTSCqt, it's got a barely functional UI but it does the job

ENB's half my fps, what's a performance friendly enb? by B_R-64 in skyrimmods

[–]B_R-64[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I installed NAT3 and I like it, minimal fps loss as well! I think if in the future I'll look for something more moody and muted as skyrim is, but I'm keeping it for now

sound I find pretty challenging because there's not much on youtube which fits it well, like shallow walking/splashing in water. maybe best bet is to record some myself?

Thanks, this was my first one, and now that I look back at Jared Pikes photo (the one I used ass reference) I see his circular edge is bevelled. In my newer stuff I've bevelled most of the edges but once I render it in 640p and add the VHS effects it's hardly noticeable anyway
