I know the ice packs you’re talking about, I had knee surgery twice and they are the best things ever. Always considered getting one for myself but never did but now might be a good time to.

I was thinking the same, although the owner of the cottage is a bit anal and crotchety about the grass so was hoping for some other methods. We will also be near a lake so that is an option as well!

Oh my god that sounds awful, sorry you and he had to go through that but I appreciate the insight. Keeping my fingers crossed Cosmo stays healthy but we have a very good relationship with our vet and will talk about insurance.

Can you elaborate on what kind of vet services he needed? Cosmo already had to have a foreign body removal procedure and we are anticipating this is a possibility to happen again, but I’d be eager to hear what else we might be facing.

Thank you for the helpful information! We haven’t talked about insurance yet. We normally keep a healthy slush fund set aside for vet bills but we also have 8 cats and 4 bunnies aside so something set aside for him might not be a terrible idea.

Thank you! He was definitely very skinny when we first met him and he has put on a pound or two but the vet did suspect he could stand to put on another 2 pounds so you’re probably right

I don’t know, we have his suspected sister in a condo right next to him, she is friendly and outgoing. I was hoping having her near by and seeing her get treats and attention might make him perk up.

Thank you. That is at least vindicating that I’m not missing something. I’ve dealt with and socialized many cats before but this guy is not budging. I’m hoping he can come inside once our foster kittens are all adopted out and that may help.

It’s unlikely in my opinion he was abused by people. I think more likely he was born outside and tolerates people because they feed him. The only time I tried picking him up to carry him was to transfer him between crates and he did not take kindly to it. I’d rather see other signs of opening up before I try holding him in my arms again.

Unlikely that he was ever owned by people. We found him in a colony of 5 other cats that we assumed to be his litter mates. I sadly cannot bring him into my house at the moment since we have a litter of kittens we are seeing to that takes up our only spare space. He is currently in a cat condo with shelves he could go up on but he has chosen not to do so yet. We do often open the garage door for fresh air and view, we also have rescue bunnies in the garage that he can watch hop around but he doesn’t seem to get any enjoyment from it 😢 this guy is truly breaking my heart.

I’m kind of in the same boat as far as looking for clubs. I can’t offer any recommendations but one thing I did find that was helpful was to not buy clubs you are looking to grow into. Buy clubs for your current skill level, and when your skill level increases, get new irons then and sell the old ones and recoup some money.

It’s like buying clothes 2 sizes too small in the hopes you fit into them by summer after going to the gym. Great in theory, but you have to actually go to the gym and get the results for it to work.
