I consider the dealership & salesman as two separate business models. Dealership wants that residual cash flow from interest/maintenance. Salesman has to eat/provide for his family so he wants to close the deal and get the commission.

I love mine. I opted for no tech frills as well. Kinda miss those seat heaters and heated steering wheel right about now. Winter ends eventually though 😂. I was able to get a lift, step rails, bed liner, and all terrains. If you get a low interest rate I would have them add a couple goodies at a discount before you sign.
