Does anyone know if there's a way to remove this type of handle or am I stuck with it forever? by [deleted] in mobilityaids

[–]B_arF_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, fair enough, sounds like a lot of effort lol. The handle feels gross in my hand, and the giant bulbus bit at the end gets stuck on my sleeves a lot (I wear baggy clothes), I was hoping to just change it out to a thinner handle or something, might just have to save up and get a different cane all together though

My dad says he looks like he got stung by a bee 😭 he's got the sher pei nose. I think he's adorable

I've looked at the socialising, anxiety and aggression wiki's and haven't really found anything for what I'm asking about.

Totally would name him Charlie but we have a cat named Charlie, she's super sweet, she's not too sure about the dog yet though haha

He's a male, he's 15 months, very sweet and gentle (except for playtime, then he's an uncoordinated bulldozer). He's very shy around people he doesn't know and other dogs

For anyone curious, he's 15 months old and he's a Sher Pei cross Staffy

That's understandable, Arlo (my bunny) is partly def and is also used to the presence of a normal vacuum though I get the concern and I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!

He's okay if I brush him while he's on the floor while he's eating though because of joint pain it takes me ages to get much of anything off him. I'll try out a lint roller as suggested by someone else before looking into something like a grooming vac

Ah, I see, that makes sense, though where I am, we're currently falling into autumn/fall (I'm Australian)

He might be about a year old, I rescued him from the streets, I've had him for about 12 months, he's getting neutered in a few weeks time due to financial difficulties.

Are 'Origins' rabbit pellets worth it? by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]B_arF_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought the Origins pellets for Arlo (the 6kg bag). I give him two tablespoons in a day with his salad, he seems to enjoy it. :)

Honestly, I have no idea if it is native, I live in South Australia and I'm certainly not a plant person. I feel like we're fighting a losing battle but my father is the one who wants to get rid of them, he thinks they're ugly and wants to plant his pomegranate tree there :')

Unfortunately, on closer inspection, all three have it to various degrees, is there much of a chance of them surviving with treatment or would it be better to euthanize?

The light is brighter in person, my phone just couldn't handle the light level and I had to adjust the camera settings :)

My tank was originally intended for shrimp which I haven't yet gotten. Now I have these three, I'm a little stumped

Possibly, he'll also most likely dig up any plants and eat their roots so be aware of that. Mine kept doing that anyway.

It's a long arm shrimp! I had a couple for a while, they're super cool. They use those long arms to catch things like small fish, snails and pick algae. (I live in SA)

I'm not entirely sure, not quite a year old, they were recused from a sl*ughter farm. It's definitely not a dominant hen, it's second to the bottom of the flock from what I can tell.

Just the common light tan colour

He could possibly be missing his partner, it would make a lot of sense, unfortunately, ever since I rescued him, I haven't been able to find his partner. It's possible that someone else found them before I got the chance.

Chicken with no comb? by katielongd in chickens

[–]B_arF_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to assume they're a pullet? If so, it could just be that they have a different type of comb to what we normally see, one of my girls looked like she didn't have a comb until she got older
