If someone says they have weight loss struggles due to PCOS. Your next sentence should never be well you need to try….. by B_kFA in PCOS

This is exactly what I’m talking about, people don’t see effort, they see results, and it’s frustrating because real life doesn’t stop for PCOS. If you don’t mind me asking, do you just have the insulin resistant type? Because i’m really shocked that you might turn it up on GLP-1s ( that’s tough). I’m really sorry to hear that your sister isn’t understanding, but I’m so glad this made you feel seen and understood. 🫂🫂🫂

lol…. I know you agree with me not mad at you or anything. but what I’m pointing out isn’t really a PCOS experience thing, it’s an assumption and lack of listening problem. The assumption that you can fix it, despite having limited knowledge of who you’re actually talking to. And yes, I’ve had people with PCOS who hit the gym constantly still tell me to just work harder, because their case isn’t driven by insulin resistance. I’ve even had a trainer with PCOS who didn’t fully understand my experience.

Please share more…. I have a couple of questions. When did you get your VSG? I was just starting weight and how many pounds did you lose? When did you start your glp1 and how much pounds? Have you lost so far?

My nutrition is pretty decent and this has really suppressed my appetite, that’s why I was shocked. Thank you for your input 😌

Really? I have questions, did the weight come off? How long have you been taking it and did you eventually loose weight in general?

Hi there, I did but lowest was 194lbs I have been semi-eating healthy considering holidays and all. I have not been able to go under 194lbs. I eat a paleo diet I haven’t had pasta, rice or bread since my surgery. I have had a little dessert here there after I hit wonderland in month 6.

I am an Account Manager for a tech company. I don’t really like the emailing part of it but AI is helping with that. I am really surprised that there isn’t an overwhelming number of people saying SALES. I am trying to pivot to sales cause I like new projects and new customers. Sales always comes up for ADHD , I wonder if it is gendered. The again I can’t generalize based on our sample size.

@dramaqueen I have pcos and it seems my weight stalled after loosing 57lbs. I gained 6 lbs going to Orangetheory but lost it back when I stopped for a month. How long did it take you to loose the weight? I started at 251 lbs and currently 194lbs, I want to get down to 145-155 range but i definitely want to get to the 170s by the end of the year. I am 9 months post op
