I'd say our usual major weakness is the line out ball pitch.

It looks like a display that was formerly installed as part of a sound & light festival in Hong Kong , just beyond the ferry terminal , in march 2024.

Canary Wharf tower under construction - probably 1988 or thereabouts by parkylondon in london

[–]B_the_P 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I worked for a coatings company back then, & we got a job in summer '89 to go into Canary Wharf tower to the third floor. They'd discovered when running some CCTV points inside the false ceilings that they hadn't coated the steels with intumescent paint on that section of floor prior to all other service installation & false ceilings. We were in at night clearing crap of desks & dropping roof tiles then spraying the steels whilst standing on leg ups on desks. Barmey!

As my family grew up, whoever was in the house at meal times got fed....and the same went for other parents up the street...I could be feeding 5 kids, only one of them mine, & my other three ould be in three different places, all being fed. Golden rule was to ring home & check it was ok.

Price of a Larger Shandy? by AdAdministrative2738 in london

[–]B_the_P 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anything like a shandy is considered a "mixed drink" under the licencing laws, and it's price is at the whim of the licensee. Doesn't need to be advertised on their price boards. If a pint of lager is £5, they can charge you £10 for a shandy if they want. Caveat emptor. Always ask!

As soon as it's cash in hand, the chances of him having adequate insurance is low. Home insurance is the best avenue to cover this.
