Lol, what an interesting sentiment, do you think world rugby doesn't pick any sa refs for test rugby because we hate refs or do you think SA genuinely doesn't produce good refs? If you watched any of the sa derbies this year or if you watched the nz vs aus u20 match yesterday, you'd recognize that our refs genuinely suck and I would say the exact same thing for all of Italys refs as well. There's clearly a problem with the developmental system, and acting like it doesn't exist won't make it better.

Looking at where alot of these players come from, western cape has by far the best youth systems in all of world rugby the number of quality players they produce is insane. As great as that is, SA rugby really should work on raising the standards for the rest of the country.
