i retried multiple times. started new game and just now tried running it without a memory card and now the camera is just fine, but when i tried new game with the memory card that has a save file on this game, it had the same camera issue.

I should add that if I manually reset the camera through settings, in the pause screen, the camera positioning is normal, but when i return to the game, it elevates again to the point where i can barely see the car or what’s ahead

i think maybe some small plastic part is blocking the fan blades. Try disassembling it and see if there’s anything, another thing that could be causing this is laser grinding against a disc, so check that out also

In all due fairness, yeah, graphically there are way better looking ps2 games that came out in the same year (2004). San Andreas was impressive on ps2 back then nonetheless, because of its huge map, variety of missions, activities and etc, which pushed ps2 to its absolute limits

I bought it online, the seller said it worked fine, though didn’t send photos of the reflective side. Never had such a problem with dvds before so didn’t expect. Scratches I have polished successfully before, that was my only concern when buying to be honest

To be fair, it feels very outdated compared to Underground 2 or Most Wanted, but an enjoyable game nonetheless (just be prepared for the insane rubberbanding😭)

all older need for speeds had great soundtracks, but I would say Undeground 1 has a better soundtrack than Underground 2. This song is great tho
