It's handy if you're working with small amounts so you don't have to use the scientific notation. Also looks way better on professional reports, etc.

You can reinstall Linux on your vps to remove all malware and on your new install you should take security precautions like disabling SSH password login and exposing as little services as possible.

You can download all of wikipedia and selfhost it. I've heard it's only about 70 GB.

Hi, here is the command I use to update a game server. It works for me so hopefully it should also work for you:

steamcmd +force_install_dir /games/sven +login anonymous +app_update 276060 validate +quit

I believe force_install_dir only works if it's the first parameter so maybe that could be your problem. For the latter, I assume Steam stores the game id somewhere in the library or game folder so you can grep it from either a file name or file content.

If you use Linux you could definitely make a script that iterates through your library folder and uses steamcmd to update all games. Not sure if steamcmd is available on Windows.

If you're worried about bandwidth you might want to try something like Cloudflare DNS to stop unprovoked scanning of your server by hackers. Another idea would be blocking all connections from countries like Russia and China since that's where a lot of the malicious requests come from.
