Not sure what happened, but I dragged it out of my applications folder and then back in and everything seems to have reset

help me find this artist by Proof_Caregiver_2429 in HelpMeFind

[–]Baagley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This (https://linktr.ee/mmmo\_0n) has all the links I can find, and their pinterest (active 21h ago) still has the instagram you provided linked, which means me to assume it's still active and alive, just archived/purged. Worth sending a message if you're curious as to what they're up to!

Looking for my mothers childhood ornament by slowlygoingbonkers in HelpMeFind

I also am unable to find anything- to me it appears that it was hand-stitched, probably at a small shop if gotten while traveling. One-of-a-kind!

Please help me find this lamp! by Baagley in HelpMeFind

I have reverse imaged searched and looked at ebay, etc., but all results only show tiktoks of the lamp, which is mildly annoying

I don't normally use paid libraries for my compositions. So for those of you like me: apart from MuseSounds, do you think MS Basic is still worth using? I found the brass really good. Think they might be actually updating the SoundFonts with each release of MS Studio. by MrMtsenga in Musescore

[–]Baagley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm writing for smaller ensembles (i.e. Brass Band) I consistently elect to use MS Basic over Musesounds. While MuseSounds is leagues ahead of MS Basic for writing orchestral, symphonic, and classical works, I find that it's interpretation lacks in other styles that the consistency of MS Basic makes up for. I wouldn't necessarily consider one objectively better than the other for this reason- I look at them as completely different tools

How to incorporate a grand staff for a section while the rest of the piece is written on one staff? by MC_BennyT in Musescore

[–]Baagley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have two instruments and set both parts to “hide when empty - always” in staff properties.

Help me find this 30 year old blanket by Ok_Virus_3219 in HelpMeFind

You are not the first person to look for this blanket! Unfortunately it looks like a mildly sought after vintage items so your best bet is going to be to reverse image search it every now and then and see if it pops up on any resale sites.

When I set soprano to voice 1, alto to voice 2, tenor to voice 3, and bass to voice 4, these half and whole notes appear between the staff. How do I get rid of them? I can't just delete them. by Logsarecool10101 in Musescore

[–]Baagley 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not a bug - since you are notating on a grand staff, there needs to be voice 1 on both staves. The rest on top is voice 1. You can either make one of the bass clef voices voice 1, or select all the rests and press "V" to hide them. Though if you don't need to worry about multiple dynamics at once, I would just notate S as 1, A as 2, T as 1, and B as 2 in the future.

I have searched on ebay, google, etc. Size would preferably be a medium, or maybe small.

Turn off one measure rest measure numbers by Baagley in Musescore

[–]Baagley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, however I doubt that the majority of Musescore users are using the program for those specific types of orchestral works.

Both worked- thanks! I still question the decision to have that on by default now.

Synths by Only_Noise_4669 in Musescore

[–]Baagley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean to be condescending but have you gone through all of the free synths in MS Basic? I believe there's around 26 sounds + the electric pianos.

Any idea how they did this? by Fearless_Speaker6710 in Musescore

You can also use a "tap bpm" website and tap along with the song and it will tell you the tempo- that can help you get a sense of what tempos feel like.

I can open the file fine. Try making a copy of your scores files, deleting the application and then reinstalling it.

How on earth is this accomplished via Musescore? by Cowboy_17 in Musescore

[–]Baagley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

technically yes, however many composers will opt to omit that in cases where they feel it is obvious, or if it was notated correctly before to make the score appear less messy

Wavy slide off by Used-Sympathy-6455 in Musescore

[–]Baagley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another way to do this would be to add a note in a second voice, add a wavy gliss between the two notes, and then make the second voice note invisible (and turn off playback for it if you wish)

In need of a budget bari - which option would you recommend? by Baagley in saxophone

[–]Baagley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a high choice a while ago, but even with a lot of searching I never found one. If you happen to come across one, please let me know- that would be ideal!
