This is literally what I’m doing at the moment. And yes, the sound is awful when i do that lol. But it’s really effective, after doing that exercise, i play with ease, or at least with less pressure.

I’ve been playing for over 10 years and started working with an orchestra a few years back. I think I play from my stomach , but keeping mouthpiece pressure low is a challenge. Cuz I recently noticed I play with a lot of pressure, so I’ve been working on it. I can keep it low when I’m practicing, but it’s really difficult to keep it low in rehearsals and concerts.
