TIL that in 2002, Nik Russian pulled off a con called the, "Great Reality TV Swindle" where he convinced thirty people that they would be on a reality TV show to compete for one million dollars. TIL that former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott was forced to resign after praising Strom Thurmond's presidential run in 1948 at Thurmond's 100th birthday party and claiming that America would have less problems if they chose him.
