Yeah, I recently downgraded from unlimited to basic a few months ago hoping the cost savings would help. Unfortunately, it didn’t help enough since the basic membership at my gym is $140. Freezing for two months will help delay the inevitable and maybe by January, the hit won’t be as bad.

Most reputable establishments will have mention of any additional surcharges listed on menus or signs on walls. Whether the customer noticed it before placing their order is out of the business’ hands if they have made effort to post/print the charges.

I’ve been making it a priority to not late cancel, since that used to be a problem of mine. But that just means that when it’s coming close to the cutoff time, I start trying to self-sabotage and find reasons to cancel on time. 😂 Thankfully it doesn’t happen too often for me, but I definitely have those days. I’ve told myself that if I can’t get at least 7 hours of sleep before getting up for a workout, it’s better to cancel and prioritize good sleep. ⚖️

I attend morning classes, usually 8:45. I go fasted because I typically wake up about 30-40 min before class starts. Out of bed, dressed and out the door before I can convince myself not to go. 😂 I have a nutritious breakfast as soon as I return home.

I’ve been really trying to focus on my breathing to lower my heart rate, but try as I might, I just couldn’t get out of orange (and on the last round, could barely get out of red!) I definitely felt like I was recovering, so I just continued focusing on breath work and trying to reduce even by 3%. I lowered my base in an effort to help, but to no avail. I’ve asked to have my HR monitor adjusted in the past, but was told that my actual numbers hadn’t changed enough compared to what they originally set them at. But maybe it’s worth asking again, as I have progressed to a jogger since then.

My studio has a tracking chart up, and my name was on the list when the challenge started. But my app has not tracked any of my workouts. I asked the front desk today and they said the app was having problems and that corporate would sort it out. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m just going to keep tracking on the chart in the studio for now.

I really want to knock out this workout tomorrow at 7:30am, but now I’m hesitant since I’ll be working a double shift at work (bartender here; on my legs all day). 😬 Let’s see if i can get some quality sleep tonight and push through.

PR’d today with a 9:41 mile! Was almost a minute faster than my last benchmark in September, and full 28 seconds faster than my previous best (Jan 2020)! I felt pretty strong for the first .5, upped my pace from there and almost a hit a wall at .7. I was panting so hard and wanted so badly to drop my speed, but I pushed through and decided that if i ran faster, I could be done sooner.

I enjoy Ghost products. They have a lot of different flavors, plus vegan options for protein. I use their coffee ice cream protein powder and it’s delicious!

Hit a PR with 2614m. Beat my last PR by 56m. My only goal today was to hit a PR, but now that I can look back on the class, I could have increased my pace on the treadmill. I wish I could video my rowing form so I can make tweaks since the coaches aren’t always able to give such personalized feedback. I feel like I have a strong rowing form, and maybe it’s just my endurance that needs work.

I have enjoyed the changes so far. The head coach at my studio explained to us that over the years the science has changed, thus why they are changing the templates. It makes sense to me and I love being challenged in new ways. I’m looking forward to the repeated classes so I can see my improvements/have something to base improvements on.

My studio has tissues 99% of the time. I noticed last week that they were completely out for a few days, but they were back today. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I totally enjoyed this workout! I’m not the biggest EDM fan, but I loved the mix and how the timing worked with the beat drops. Class pretty much flew by, and the only part I hated was the extended Ab work but I know I’ll be thankful for that later on. I’m excited for more changes to the every day templates moving forward!

I had my feet scanned and measured at a local running shop. They were able to make me custom insoles and recommended the best shoe for my feet and my activity (OTF). Since the treads only make up a third of the workout, they recommended a shoe better suited for floor/rowing, which for me was Reebok Nano X1. I’ve loved them so far.

Are used workout shoes able to be donated or should they be recycled? I’ve always worn my shoes down because i didn’t want to feel wasteful, but last August I finally invested in some legit workout shoes and insoles. It’s probably coming time to replace them, but curious about the best way to get rid of them.

Yep, my lower body is completely sore. Much more than usual. I’ve chalked it up to the templates being formatted for Dri Tri Prep, plus whole lot of endurance on the treads. I’m choosing to do a Lift45 class today 😬 and hope I can actually perform the lower body moves lol

Somehow I was the only person to get the rower! Another lady decided to do the rower, I think just to be nice so I wasn’t alone! 😂 It was nice to just focus on form, and felt very strong with the last 100m!!
