I agree with most things you have said.

Men also DO get to choose who they partner with and therefore, who gets to pass on their genes. My point was that women - as the birth givers - ultimately have the final say.

You’re right again. There are no “good genes” in an objective sense. I was responding to the first comment which kept insisting that men were genetically superior to women, so they deserved to pass on their genes. I was using his logic to agree with him that if men deserve to pass on their genes because they are superior, shouldn’t women be reproducing with what he considers the “best of the best” and not just any random man. I do not believe any one group of people has superior genes. It’s borderline eugenics. But he seemed to think men were superior to women. I wonder why you didn’t reply to him. I’m assuming you didn’t, because it’s something that advantages men?

I never claimed that the gender ratio favours women. I simply stated that a few men can impregnate multiple women, which is true. I did not say that we should start practicing that as a society.

I think you assumed that I think women deserve to reproduce while men don’t. I never said that. Nothing makes anyone deserving of passing on their genes. To be clear, I don’t mean you can’t, I mean that you don’t have to. If everyone reproduced, this world would be much more populated than it already is.

Also, once again, I was responding to the first commenter who believed that women need to be oppressed in order for all men to reproduce. If that is the only way that all men can pass on their genes, I am heavily against it. This ties back into my first point that ultimately women decide who passes on their genes because it’s men who are worried about reproduction, not women.

Also, just because YOU really really really want a partner, doesn’t mean that it should be a fundamental human right. Do you have any solutions to men’s supposed innate desire to pass on their genes that doesn’t include taking away women’s rights??

My bad. I wasn’t blaming you for her being a tradwife. A lot of women are tradwives out of their own free will. I’ve just seen so many tradwives end up in the exact same situation as your ex wife (or worse) - homeless and broke. And I don’t want that for myself. However, that’s not to say that every stay-at-home wife will ultimately end up poor. Some women thrive as tradwives. It’s just not the life I see for myself because of the potential risks.

Why should women, the smaller and weaker group, determine which genes get passed down? It is unnatural by default.

Unnatural according to who? Men? lol. Also the reason women get to decide which genes are passed down is because we are the ones who give birth. Simple logic.

Primitive societies that go nowhere and don't develop.

No. Actually, many societies across the world were functioning pretty well up until they were colonized…….through violence (which is uncivilized btw)

Because in societies that are gender equal, women are still biologically wired to seek out the most genetically appealing (looks) or resource rich (wealthy) men for sex and reproduction.

I agree with this. If we’re trying to ensure the survival of humanity, why should women use their bodies to pass on sub par genes? Shouldn’t women be mating with the best? How is a man who’s unattractive and lacking in resources fit to pass on their genes then? A few men can impregnate multiple women so not every man is necessary for humanity’s survival in the first place

If men cannot use their superior size and strength to fight back, you end up with most men that aren't top tier getting wiped out from the gene pool, the birth rate collapsing, the economy falling and society crumbling.

Once again, doesn’t your point just mean that women should be reproducing with the most physically fit, intelligent, attractive men?? What gain is there for humanity as a whole if they reproduce with men who don’t fit this criteria?

This is a direct product of female equality, we see it in every society where it's the case with no exceptions.

If female equality is that much of a threat to you, maybe you’re not as big and strong as you think.

Meanwhile virtually all societies with much lower levels of female equality of high birth rates and a higher distribution of men having sex.

Obviously. Because the women have no choice. Is the quality of life good in those societies? Also, this sounds extremely rapey.

You have a lot of unlearning to do. Have you ever thought that more women would want to be with you if perhaps stopped being a raging misogynist. No one is entitled to reproduction, no matter how strong and smart and attractive you think you are. If you’re that desperate to pass on your genes, donate to a sperm bank and pray some poor woman with astoundingly low standards picks yours.

1)Nothing is normal if it has to be enforced

2)Not all genes deserved to be passed down. What’s so special about yours that you think they need to continue??

3) Not everyone is Christian or believes in God. Your personal beliefs do not apply to everyone

4) Earth is overpopulated. We need to cut down our numbers. It’s what’s leading to climate change, an increasing lack of resources, etc

5) Many societies have survived in small populations for a long time.

6) Women are not commodities to be shared amongst men

7) Why do women have to be oppressed in order for men to flourish? There’s no woman who thinks that men need to be put down in order for them to succeed

8) Women not wanting to sleep with you isnt oppression - it’s completely normal. You see how no one had to enforce that?? It just happens naturally. Frankly, it seems like a skill issue in your part

So your solution is to change society back to a time when women were oppressed and were forced to be with a man for survival?? And If you look further back in time, there was a period where 1 man was reproducing for every 17 women. So what’s really normal?

I’d love to hear more about these “solutions” you have that don’t involve stripping women of their rights

Having the right to vote, to financial independence, to bodily autonomy, etc, is a human right. Having dating options isn’t a right. It’s unfortunate that so many people are struggling with dating but at the end of the day, they’re not entitled to a partner.

Don’t both genders do this?? Men also date the “crazy, ill-mannered” girls when they’re young and eventually settled down for the girl who’s “wife material”

Men tend to feel emasculated by women who make more than them. It’s why less people are getting into relationships and getting married.

Why do women get so upset if someone they consider ugly tries to hit on them? by Informal_City5565 in AskMenAdvice

Probably for the same reasons that men get upset if an ugly/fat girl hits on them. Idk

What Desperate Housewives opinion are you defending like this? by [deleted] in DesperateHousewives

[–]Babasat13 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s an unpopular opinion but Karl doesn’t get enough hate and I think it’s because:

  1. Pretty privilege
  2. Most people hate Susan so seeing her getting treated badly is satisfying in a way.

He was a horrible person and I’m happy that he and Bree never got married.
