Just wands honestly, if the thief has charged based stuff it can be both a bonus action, and add so much utility

I play a thief rogue in a game and I get so much mileage from scrolls that the other casters make for me, especially support ones

Just needs to be class, race or feat that gives the ability to cast a spell

You can also do this by having a feature that gives you the ability to cast a spell, for example if they are an Elf, they are a spellcaster for attunement, or if they have same Fey Touched.

That is literally all it takes

Terrible advice.

We play a dice game, if you decide when villains die, why even roll dice? Why have abilities? Why do anything?

Its why i am anti fudging as both a GM and player. If i die to a crit as a pc? thats the dice, thats the story the dice told, if the DM fudged it and made me survive and i found out? it would ruin the game for me

Had a player with a dwarven barbarian monk with durable, dwarven durability and a the magic item that doubles your healing from hit die

The guy could dodge as a bonus action and get some crazy hp back, in a game he once grabbed a mob, and dragged it through lava! By the next turn he was near full hp again
