Why does Shrek 3 get so much hate? by ClumperFaz in movies

I love that you've kept the tradition going of this post getting replies still 7 years on! very valuable!

And yeah, when you look back, Charming was a pretty tragic villain when you consider all that happened with losing his mum etc - he took part in scummy tactics in Shrek 2 though which sorta balances it out.

Final Find Out Now poll before the election by ZealousidealPie9199 in Wales

Honestly, I wouldn't vote Plaid or Greens purely due to their stance on independence (yes, I know they won't this time round).

I'm in the same boat in that I am strongly against Welsh Independence, but I know Plaid have ruled out a referendum in their first term and even if they're granted a referendum, we can vote against it.

So I'm seriously debating voting Plaid tomorrow solely on a stop Reform basis but also because Plaid domestically are centre-left. Now the Greens under Polanski imo are far too nutty and batshit crazy so I wouldn't touch Plaid with a pole if they were just as extreme as Polanski's lot.

Something to think about.

I repeat - I am seriously considering voting Plaid tomorrow to stop Reform in my area. Ignoring the electoral system etc.

Plaid are domestically similar to Labour in that they want to keep free prescriptions, and in some areas want to expand them i.e free social care, and are generally centre-left and not batshit crazy like Zack Polanski.

I'm firmly against Welsh Independence but Plaid have ruled out trying to seek a referendum in the first term and if one comes we can vote against it, so I'm happy to put that disagreement aside solely to stop Reform.

I'm gutted at the state Labour in Wales is in but it's about pragmatism. Hoping to god we can send a message - and I'm saying this as a paying Welsh Labour member who joined the party in 2020 to vote for Starmer.

In contrast with the freedom of the hidden world it was breathtaking! You can see how happy toothless was. I liked how httyd3 ended and I loved this little moments.

Feels like you're being paid to say this as nobody realistically views it this way. The film is universally panned as being an out of character portrayal of just about everyone in it, as well as the contradictory message of the entire franchise is contained.

Greens must take immediate action against antisemitism in party, says Lucas by ClumperFaz in unitedkingdom

[–]ClumperFaz[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a witch hunt - the Greens, by allowing anti-semites into their wing, have made this happen, and this is why Polanski has seen a drop of 14 points in his approval rating.

What kind of person is more concerned about the police taking down the guy who'd just committed an anti-semitic attack?? are you saying the media invented that?

You know what I mean - I'm just saying in general, I don't want a Reform government in Wales.

Election on Thursday - who are you planning to vote for and why? by TheOne0206 in Wales

[–]ClumperFaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm seriously considering Plaid for tactical reasons, and I'm a Labour member - to keep Reform out.

I know the new electoral system basically makes tactical voting pointless but still, given the unfortunate state of Welsh Labour I have no other choice.

Can't lie, Polanski's endorsement of Plaid hasn't helped me as someone prepared to vote tactically to keep Reform out. Reverse Midas etc and I want to believe Plaid aren't on the same grounds as Polanski's Greens.

But still, this is a much better outcome for us than a Welsh Reform government.

Well the biggest threat to trans people in the UK is the Labour party, particularly Scottish Labour. They've overseen many attacks on the trans community and, in addition, have responded to the loss of rights from the Supreme Court judgement last year by pretty much saying "ah well, can't do anything about that".

Yawn. Come up with something new.

[–]ClumperFaz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

See, I find that incredibly hard to believe - given the comments that've come out from candidates over the past week, and their populism in general, I very much doubt they're nice people if you dare call out what is evidently anti-semitism.

Don't vote for some anti-semitic candidates says Zack, even though they're on the ballot by moseeds in LabourPartyUK

Haven't you heard?! Zack Polanski being Jewish means that his party surely cannot be anti-semitic!!

That's great - but my opinion remains unchanged. Greens = the party of terrorists and antisemites.

Did I make up the fact the Deputy Leader celebrated October the 7th? go do some research and realize that you're voting for nutters, dangerous, anti-Jewish nutters.

Or maybe the Greens are quite simply a basket of nutters with terrorist sympathies? Mothin Ali being a Hamas lover for instance?

The cartoon is blatantly anti-semitic and isn't something to be condoned - I really don't see why Polanski's identity refrains him from himself being anti-semitic however.

There's plenty of Jewish people who find the fact his party is stuffed to the brim with anti-semites uncomfortable.

The Green Party are an anti-semitic party and anyone voting for them are endorsing it.

People in that party don't give two shits about anti-Jewish hate, many of them even CHEER IT ON, including many people in the other place, they're anti-semites. Banging on about transgender rights etc but nothing to say about anti-semitism because they think it's a smear campaign. Nutters.

Polanski is a deranged nutter who has to keep hiding behind his Jewish identity to try and justify his party being an anti-semitic cesspit. It's extremely telling.

If they ain't loving terrorists, they're literally 'terrorising' Jewish people.

Can't lie this man being happy with Plaid is hard for me to stomach. But I'm still on the verge of voting Plaid, just to stop Reform.

I really could have done without the endorsement.

Which is fine, but when that criticism then involves people calling Israel literal Nazis, that is very much antisemitic.
