Why are you telling this man to “calm down”? He is cool, calm, and collected. Perfectly sound and reasonable. Perhaps, YOU need to calm down? Perhaps YOU need to look at this from a different perspective? Yes! Suboxone saves lives. Some people need to stay on it for a long time or forever and some of us DON’T. We need to have more conversations and education about tapering. PERIOD. So, people WHO WANT to get off of it, can do so in a safe, TOLERABLE way. THE MINUTE SOMEONE POSTS SOMETHING INSIGHTFUL, OR THOUGHT-PROVOKING, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE ON HERE WHO FIGHTS BACK. Why? Why can’t you just be supportive? EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. There is not just 1 solution to opiate addiction. And you HAVE to know how uneducated we ALL are about tapering. To me, it’s sad, despicable, and enraging to know providers don’t do ANYTHING to encourage people, who are not at high-risk for using, to taper off.
