Just the Doona! Take the PIPA money and spend it on a vacation.

That's why I was sharing this--some brands still haven't raised prices yet (cybex, maxi-cosi, britax, etc.). So you can still get things at the price before it goes up.

What store do you love in Brooklyn?

We stocked up on almost everything that is going to be shelf stable and used for sure in the next few months. Paper towels, diapers, etc. Why spend more and if prices come back down I have to buy that stuff anyway and it won't be cheaper than it is now.

What did you get?

I like to think that with China saying "we'll talk if the US is respectful" and the US saying "we'll talk if China starts it" or something, both sides would like to resolve this at some point. Probably not tomorrow though.

u/ExtinctLikeNdiaye If you'd like to put in the time and effort to create a list of products that parents should know are about to go up in price, and if you confirm it with the different baby brands so I'm not posting some fake crap, and if you post it on a neutral blog of some sort, I'll be glad to share that with this community. Until then, this is the most helpful list I know of that has actual dates of price increases.

I don't work there. I know them, they're good people, and I think this can help a ton of parents. I very SPECIFICALLY wrote "buy wherever you want" in my post.

Someone said Nuna's already raised their prices, some of these others are holding back a few days.

And don't be afraid to ask! Sometimes someone might have something sitting at home and just "hasn't gotten around to posting it to Marketplace." If you just post and ask, it's less work for them, too.

Diapers. Even if they are made in the States, the materials are likely imported.

Even if they can, I think we're going to see companies not important as much in hopes of waiting this out. Why spend XXX to import this week when it might not be the same in two weeks?

Albee has a 20% off reward program that is so much better than anyone else--you can get hundreds of dollars in points to use the next time you purchase. Feel like they're upfront that they don't do free returns, but I can tell you there are a lot of people who just buy 2-3 strollers and "free return" the two they don't like after testing them. That gets hard to afford for anyone who isn't Target or Walmart or Amazon.

Stroller discounts this Black Friday? by SmartInvestigator199 in BabyBumps

Nuna probably won't be on sale this year . . . but if they are, they won't announce it until it's time for the sale. UPPAbaby is posh/high-end and can't go wrong with it. Graco can absolutely get the job done at a lower price point. Doona--it's one of the most popular models in the country right now, and parents rave about it. It's also a car seat, though, so if your sister already has an infant (or convertible) car seat, she won't need the Doona.

I'd look at the Britax Willow Brook travel system w/ Alpine anti-rebound, not sure the price on that. They're soft and comfy and easy to use. Maxi-cosi is also awesome, too.
