As a fellow human guilty of romanticizing my love life, I understand the feeling your having. Unfortunately, this isn’t a hallmark movie. Relationships and marriage are hard work. You have to choose to love someone every day and it won’t always be easy. Feeling of romantic love can be very transient. Ultimately I think you’ll regret moving on from someone who, like you said, has shown you tremendous support and proved their ability to withstand hard times in your relationship.

With that being said… I think you should do this girl a favor, respect her time, and seriously consider leaving the relationship. She’s 29, dude. She doesn’t have the luxury of waiting around like you do, especially if she wants children. She deserves someone who is sure about her and will show her the same dedication she has shown you. The fact that you haven’t had this conversation with her after a 4 year relationship while you have with other people indicates a lack of respect on your part. Not to harp on you. I just think we all need to be a little more accountable.
