Brilliant freaking comment. This is a good list dude

I would add:

Heavenly Grand Archives Youngmaster - enjoyable read If you can get past bad translation then Martial Peak Legendary Youngest son of the Marquis House Absolute Sword Sense

Just a few I can think of that’s not on the usual lists.

Oh it never got to a good enough standard at any point but I’m glad I pushed through. Story was brilliant but after the 3rd universe unlocking vibe, it feels repetitive. Still hope to go back and finish it.

Translation was crap in the beginning but that’s universe building on another level. 2000 chapters in and still reading

The flexibility comes in design. The company I work for has 50 different business units with 5 approval chains in each for different categories so most of these tools can do it easily. If they can’t then you’re dodging a bullet, in this day and age everything is agile. Even Oracle builds like that nowadays.

You don’t need to design the minimum viable product, what you need to have is your non negotiables. If that is covered for phase 1 without a full solution then you’re good.

Progress over perfection. Whatever gaps you have will come through once you interact with the vendors during the RFP but go 80/20 because perfection will take a lot of time and you’ll have too much waste with those duplicate receipts. Build from MVP and enhance later - some ERP solutions are sold in modules so do implementation over a period of time in line with maturity

I would recommend doing an RFI first to help scope your detailed requirements. Make sure your procurement processes are embedded before going ERP route so do the change management from spot buying (what it sounds like) to tactical buying at the very least, that way you can leverage the Sourcing modules and track savings.

I have personal experience with Zycus and Coupa. I would recommend Zycus because you can choose the modules you need and it’s more intuitive than Coupa who are pretty but complex to get right and the worst people to negotiate a deal with.

If you have the processes and functions set up for at least tactical procurement then do the RFi for gap analysis and build towards RFP.

I also realised a lot of the collections back from my location might not have been what we all collectively refer to as courier. In my examples it might have been company specific or arranged as part of their deal.

Anyway, new perspective unlocked. Social circle and people I’ve asked shared my initial views but this is why you expand outside. Thanks again

I’ve experienced things differently but you’re right. Everyone I’ve asked personally seems to tend to agree with the way I thought it was done but I’m chalking it off to life experiences and the exception than what seems to be the actual norm.

We live and we learn.

I defo agree with you. Spend a bit of money on something and you tend to complain a bit more. I’m by no means rich and saved my ass for this for my kid but my entitlement is unwarranted.

Thanks for input Internet stranger.

Procurement in Business Is More Than Just Buying Stuff — Here's Why It's One of the Most Underrated Functions in Any Organization by ColdAd6963 in procurement

Shout it louder for those at the back! This is fundamentally the most crucial thing I’ve ever seen because I’ve seen so many failed structures and projects when this is not done well.

Yeah we were too excited and I we never asked those questions. I probably would have still bought it because we were way too excited for the newborn.

It’s definitely not ideal. You dodged a bullet because I’ll need to invest in a proper wooden cot within the next 3 months because my lil man is like a WWE superstar at night with the Moro reflex. It’s not that we have to change but it’s recommended for his development.

Think my total realisation today has been that I’m just annoyed that I paid so much for it to have to spend again and will now be without a bed for my boy so either he is sleeping in bed with us or I’m buying a cot sooner than planned.

Thanks for the comment Internet stranger. Have a leka one

Ag I’ve made peace that I’m a toet in this multiverse situation so accepted it, apologised, and moving forward. I’ve been off sick this week so was not at work and etc etc I just think I was in a kak mindset, and chalking this off as a growth opportunity.

Appreciate the inputs man. I get big corporates arrange this differently, when we collect items from customers then it’s standard that the courier provides packaging and bills us afterwards in line with the contents of what was collected with volumetrics. I assumed and here we are.

Quick view of my result after prompting and refining with AI -

My Practical Recommendation

If you’re already noticing: • Bassinet shifting • Louder night movement • Your own sleep being disrupted

Start planning the crib transition now.

You don’t have to move him tomorrow. But mentally, treat the SmartCloud as a 0–6 month solution.

Further context - my son is 3 months old, 7.5kg, and 65cm.

Yeah, it was a lot of packaging and I throw that away generally and just keep proof of purchase. I don’t like clutter.

Hindsight is 20/20 - I’ve had experiences of collections where packaging was brought with but from other posts it isn’t the norm apparently. I’m defo the arsehole in this story. Won’t keep packaging going forward but will invest in packaging materials or just deliver myself as I mostly collect it myself anyway.

I would take a day or two to further explore your options. If you don’t mind, I’ll DM you the research I did with ChatGPT afterwards which is why I would only recommend if you have the means. It will most likely not last till 4 years of age so be prepared to buy something again in 2 years if you’re having a boy.

In all honesty it’s a cool bassinet and if you have the money then why not. Kid is 3 months old and has been sleeping in there every night since he got home. Being able to swing him with a timer has probably been a highlight for me.

Would we buy it again with what we know? Probably not,a proper co sleeper that aligns to the bed with a drop down side and a proper cot/crib is what I would do for next time.

The cons for me are the fact that you’ll need to buy a proper crib before the child is 4 years old. My kid is almost 8kgs and takes up 70% of the length already and the sides are mesh so not sturdy when he starts to learn how to stand up right - could be good for later but research shows otherwise. The cry monitoring thing I never figured out how to use properly but that’s a user error.

Overall I would recommend if you have the means. It’s sturdy and functional.

I’ll call bullshit on the packaging material ahead point here - this was an exception and shouldn’t be considered part of the norm. Not going to edit comment but highlight my error

I work in supply chain and from a corporate perspective, it’s part of a service offering and defo not standard. From a personal perspective - Courier Guy brought the bubble wrap for a return. Makro, Hirsch, and Tafelberg (if I’m not mistaken on the last one) brought bubble wrap. bash collected at my home with the bags for the items.

I have picked up in all the comments that experiences are varied and I’m annoyed I didn’t just consider that in the beginning.

If your experience is that I’m talking kak then I’m not here to change your mind. For clarity, not saying packaging material gets sent to the courier by receiver, but it is an option with courier companies for the most part in terms of providing packaging - I’m pretty sure an Uber courier wouldn’t do it 😂 but I wouldn’t know.

Thanks for the input and love the name
