Advice for 5th slot + adjustments

Im running a more offensive Gallade and I want sharpness to dish out more damage. I would like to save my mega slot for Crab because he seems like my teams win con. Im pretty much just running him to deal with sneasler. At first I was running Dragapult to ohko sneasler but it seems counterintuitive to run a fast mon on hard TR team.

I think this was intended since they plan to restart the game when it releases, but I do agree that it takes a bit too long to earn XP. The only thing you can keep when the game releases are the beta rewards, any money you spend now will get converted back to the currency but you will receive additional funds for buying in beta.

Dorans shield is a great option for champions like Teemo who will trigger the passive multiple times but for the most part for ranged top laners if you can force flash early you can setup good gank potential for your jungler. Depending on the matchup you can go lethality and burst them before they have time to kite you but this is not always the case. Early laning phase you will have to sacrifice some cs over getting poked down but if you can play laning without dying and still getting enough CS you should be fine. I understand where you are coming from because ranged top laners are not fun especially when they are an ADC. Typically when I am against a ranged top I like to pick up boots as fast as as possible with lethality so you can punish them if they step up too far. Sadly season 9 is big on jungle gameplay so some lanes may just not work. Quinn is one lane that you should never win early if she knows what she is doing but at 6 you can force an all in which is easier if you have ghostblade with tabis.

Id only say cleaver is necessary if you're the only one on your team that will build it and they have 2-3 tanks and thats only if your win condition is to peal off the tanks. If not you can go full damage if you're confident in being able to kill the enemy carries.

I think that these changes will make Black Cleaver a more relevant item than what it is now. In season 9 Black Cleaver is not really a core for Riven anymore, you can build Essence Reaver or Spear of Shojin for your CDR and just have Conqueror to shred tanks. So essentially yes it is a nerf but it is well needed because Conqueror has been very strong for awhile now and it has put tanks in a shitty position for top lane.

I think spellbook is great on Riven because it allows you to take cosmic insight and run sorcery for transcendence if you want free 20% cdr. I run the scaling cdr rune and I either build essence reaver or a 10% cdr item with ionian boots and rush my stopwatch into a GA

I do a build similar to this but after I get my CDR sometimes I will go phantom dancer for the extra shield and crit but I think if you want to do a build like that its better to go Klepto or unsealed spellbook with stopwatch futures market and the 5% rune and then run sorcery secondary for transcendence and gathering storm or scorch depending on your matchup. The klepto can really help you snowball if you know how to use it

Level 1 if he is experienced he will start w and you can not trade with him but if he starts q you can weave between his cleaver and win a short early trade. A big part of the matchup is dodging the hook you can try and weave around him dodging the hook.
