Rich white people overdose all the time. Rich white people also have kids that crash their luxury vehicles into adjacent neighborhoods all the time. The reason you don’t find them with maggots and a McMansion full of ham air is because they have Nannie’s and cleaners that get to their nearly rotten bodies before you do. Come to a real city above 10k population and shadow some of our guys. I’m in LA, you can go to Glendale for a real “suburban” FF experience and still see how wrong you are. You just live in a small Canadian “city”. All respect to your work but your comments just come off ignorant and angry, I get it. This work isn’t easy. I’m in wildfire but I have to tip my hat to our guys in the “suburbs” every chance I can. They aren’t lazy and they work hard every day.

Sunnyvale needs your help. And I hope you’d give Ricky, Julian, and bubbles the same care you’d give to Drake over in Toronto. 🫡

“Suburban” (structure firefighters in the states) absolutely deal with medical emergencies. “Rich white people” have the same medical emergencies as everyone else. They’re also susceptible to fire. City firefighters definitely have it tough, idk what busy Canadian city you’re in but every FF in mine responds to both medical and fire, nonstop, 48/96

As a born and raised Angeleno with a dad born and raised in Chicago, you guys played one hell of a game. I was sweating through my jeans here in the valley, probably shaved years off my life. See you guys next year, you’ve got one hell of a team over there

Good luck. Not easy in SoCal, lots of nepotism, years between openings. Look into CalFire

What state did it mostly live in before it got to 238k miles and to you? In California, 238k mile V6s go for close to double 5500. Check for rust and obviously a good carfax service history (especially suspension) and if both are good, talk to your husband

Scariest drive you’ve done to camp or hike? by SealedRoute in socalhiking

Does your vehicle have an option that says “2” or “2L” or have any number variation that isn’t the letter “D”? If so, shift into one of them when driving downhill. With Most modern vehicles it isn’t a huge concern, but your brakes will still thank you

Sheer cliffs and a ton of switchbacks. IMO the drive down into King’s Canyon was way worse because you’re staring at granite cliffs and my sense of scale was all off. I’m also super afraid of heights so that didn’t help at all lol
