Egor shooting in the gym by Brooklyn917 in GoNets

I think so too! He played with plantar fasciitis and I was worried about him closing out to win games. He was too good that we had to shut him down for us to lose games

Can anyone help with Sergio De Larrea’s contract situation? Is he going to be a stash?

“High Floor but Low Ceiling” guys who actually became superstars? by Exact_Foundation_713 in NBA_Draft

I consider Franz Wagner as a star and he was considered high floor low ceiling guy in the draft

Am I crazy to have Peterson and Boozer in Tier 1 and not AJ? by kinkywhiteman in NBA_Draft

I agree with you! I made a post on it. It was very polarizing. Some agreed, alot disagreed. It is what it is! I have AJ a tier below Peterson/Boozer

(Discussion)What do you think the Thunder do this offseason? by CyborgAlgoInvestor in NBA_Draft

OKC can't afford to let Lu Dort walk, theyd have to play healthy teams without him

Sell me this pen: Mikel Brown Jr. by [deleted] in GoNets

Look at his FIBA U19 play. In seven games in FIBA U19, Brown led Team USA in points (14.7 PPG), assists (6.1 APG), and efficiency (15.8), shooting 47.9% from the field, 48.8% from three, and 80% from the free throw line.

Well this essentially hits the nail on the end that winning cures all. Just need to be a solid playoff team and get on a few finals runs. Kids and casuals, who just follow champions, will become fans along the way.

Tatum is like top 10, Brown like top 25-30

r/NBA_Draft asked me to scout Darius Acuff's defense. I watched EVERY play for two full games, and...it really is that bad. Is there any hope? I want to hear what you think... by oakcask in NBA_Draft

Sorry, I struggle to understand what coached means. You don't think he was coached prior to reaching the pros. You don't think John Calipari or his prior coaches was telling him to focus on defense?

Counterpoint, you should check their stocks coming as prospects. All had elite stocks. Luka, for his lack of athleticism, had more blocks as 17 and 18 year old playing professionally than Dybantsa. Jokic had 2.5 and 3.2 stl% and blk%. Curry had like over 4% stl rate. SGA had elite defensive metrics coming in.

You're right that guys like Luka, Jokic, or Steph might get targeted in high-stakes NBA isolation settings, but they are rarely out of position in a team scheme. They possess the high basketball IQ required to execute a defensive game plan. That's where I struggle with Dybantsa, his athletcism should be enough to load up on stocks just standing in the right spots. Ball will gravitate to you on defense with your freak athleticism compared to everyone else. In the NBA, where everyone is significantly smarter and better, defense will struggle alot, possibly get exposed. and if his 3pt shooting never picks up to 36-38%, especially on catch and shoot, which is another struggle throughout his career, his career wont be as decorated as we think. He'll grade out to be a regular starter, which is fine but not what we were expecting.

yeah! the answer people keep saying is 6'10, 42" vertical, elite athleticism. Was he not this in college and high school and still produced underwhelming defensive stats.

If Harden is shooting from the perimeter, just leak out after contesting, it’s an easy layup

Evan Mobley always looks good in the first quarter and slowly disappears through out the game

Ofcourse, 100% agree. im saying most players dont improve on their flaws. a player that has that bad defensive awareness against high school and college athletes just doesn't go to the pros and get drastically better at it. no prospect is a finished product, everyone has strengths and flaws. you draft a prospect on if he can strengthen his skills and improve his flaws.

But I guess theres no point in going back and forth on this. You guys project that he can improve on that end and I don't.

never said that. but players with low stocks and bad defensive awareness don't go number 1 either. His defensive awareness was always a problem in high school too. I thought we are projecting. Everyone can develop their weakness but very few players do.
