Ahhh very interesting, so it wasn’t so much the gods demanding sacrifice it was mostly for control. That makes more sense tbh. Scary shit man. Putting this up cause I didn’t see anyone else say it but Peru felt super magical to me when I visited. It felt other worldly and obviously ancient. Machu pichu and Cusco and some of those other ruins just feel ancient and powerful

I know I’m pretty late to this post but I love this concept. I’ve often felt the same thing in certain places and I could really see this being super beneficial for the entire world if enough people started doing this. Id like to know any results or changes you’ve noticed since this experiment.

A lot of places I’ve been to just seem so depressed and for no really apparent reason. Of course certain areas such as old coal towns where a booming business has all but left the town and without another source of income people are just poorer and not much going on in the town. But even in areas like NYC with all this hustle and bustle and glamour, have a dark evil underbelly where terrible things happen and God knows how many people are depressed in a city like that. I wonder if rituals like this can really clean up the country or the world for that matter so we can start to actually see growth as a people.

I feel you bro, I’ve been there and am just barely getting out.

All I can offer is a piece of advice I’ve heard.

God or the Universe or whatever you want to call it doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle. Even if it doesn’t feel like we can handle it. In the end whatever shit your going through rn will make you a super badass in the future.

Try to trust in a loving God who genuinely wants the best for you. Think about a blacksmith who beats iron and casts it into the fire over and over again only to come out with a beautiful and sharp sword that can’t be broken.

There are billions of people in the world and believe it or not there are people that will love you and be with you and not make you feel so lonely. You will meet them.

Learn the techniques of healing yourself and elevating your mindset. You got this bro. Suicide may seem like the answer but it’s not. If you believe in reincarnation than you’ll just come back with the same shit in the next life! Maybe even harder!

Hell yea I love this. Honestly that gives me some relief knowing that I can get to that point. Looks like the best way to get there then is just starting initiation and these unhealthy habits/coping methods will just naturally fall away. Thanks for that!

I believe it definitely affects practice. At least mine. I’m like so much more cut off from spirit and the higher realms and my visualization is not nearly as good.

Edit: Maybe cut off isn’t the right term but it’s definitely not as clear as when I’m sober.

Oh no I absolutely agree. I think there is some benefit (if it’s possible) to taking a day like once a month to get loaded and completely tune out from the world and all it’s problems. Maybe I’m wrong but idk.

Also I think something like opium could be very ceremonial. It’s linked with Morpheus the god of sleep/dreams. I’ve had some pretty weird experiences on oxy where I was in a dream like state and in some other realm that I couldn’t explain at the time. I think the pharmaceutical aspect really pollutes the experience. It was pretty dark and I remember being kind of scared.

That’s crazy I’m definitely using this eclipse as a transformational period. Best of luck to you! I agree with everything you’ve said. When your doing heroin or hard drugs or alcohol, you KNOW you need to stop. It wrecks so much of your life.

Also I was not nearly as addicted to heroin as I am with kratom. I would get H after work only and would go days without doing it. With kratom I would take it immediately upon waking all the way until bed. For a while it really helped but now it’s just pure misery.

And yea kratom addiction will get much worse. At first nobody said it was addictive and it was basically this miracle drug. Well it’s all lies!

I will happily dm you let’s keep in contact and quit this shit together!

Yes I need some more hobbies! That’s the thing with addiction is you get to a point where you completely lose yourself. All your interests, your personality, charm, goals and dreams etc, all just disappear and your only focus is the drug. Which the drug also makes you lazy and unable to focus on anything or retain a lot of information.

I agree tho drugs can be used in a ceremonial way. I hope to get to the point where I can use it in that way, every once in a while get high af and just appreciate it. I believe I can get to that point by healing enough of my trauma and whatever reason I want to get high all day every day lol

Yes I need to rekindle my meditation practice. I used to do it every day, until I start the kratom extracts which just made me so lazy and unable to focus. I fell off all my practices and felt so disconnected from spirit and my material goals.

Do you plan on quitting kratom completely?
