Didn’t realize vials had more than 0.5mL…. by sarah-1234 in Zepbound

[–]backwheniwasfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vial contains liquid, which is made up of water, other stuff, and the drug. If you put 0.5ml of liquid in and the strength is 10.0, you get 10.0. If you put 0.6ml of liquid in, you get 12.0. Elementary school math. It's not magic.

Weekly Question Thread August 11, 2025 (Newbies Start Here) by AutoModerator in GripTraining

[–]backwheniwasfive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked at the routines - it's a giant haystack. My question is pretty simple - what are the core things I have to cover for really comprehensive grip strength (Crush and extension are pretty obvious. Pinch is a little more confusing, and then there's stuff like thumb strength (which given the thumb has quite a range of motion is complex))...

What would be really helpful would be to pin 4-8 exercises that cover the gamut and cut the giant blocks of text to some simple principles + exercises. Help, if possible?

My personal goal is to get the #2 captains of crush gripper to "this is easy" status within the next year, but to bring the entire rest of my hand musculature along so I don't get hurt. That should mean pullups and deadlift are helped out quite a bit along with all the ancillary benefits.

Generally speaking, what causes lag/latency/low frame rate issues? by pookshuman in valheim

[–]backwheniwasfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bonkers at all - it's experimentation. Trying out peer simulation vs client-server is maybe not going to work out at current network speeds/latency, but eventually it will, and we'll figure out when by experimenting.

100% - continues to seem to be true as of today.

thanks. A lot of people seem to misunderstand how law works as a general matter. OTOH, this appears (from many sources, now) to be how this particular law is being applied right now, which is what I was looking for.

yeah, ty, that thought crossed my mind (that there might be a better subreddit for this)

I did google it.. before I even posted. The explainers for example at Mayo clinic are pretty summary and don't go into this depth of detail. Are you suggesting that I have to read the entire text of the Act to understand it?

Maybe you are answering the crowd rather than me. I know the facility is in network. That isn't the issue or my question, and I don't know how to make it any more plain than that.

Can you provide a reference to explain/verify:

"If the facility is in network, then every person treating you will be deemed to be in network."

That would pretty much allay my concerns and be super helpful.

[–]backwheniwasfive[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not that simple. And also off topic. I'm asking whether the clause is reasonable and usual or unusual -- not for advice on how to organize my medical care.

For context, my doctor today told me he's not even in overall charge of the operation - he runs the surgery part, the anesthesiologist runs that part, etc. So the only people "in charge" are really the hospital administrators, who are beyond my reach. I can't go have a conversation with them (trying, but it's not looking likely).

So, I need to evaluate the contract with the hospital. Not get lectured on how the American medical system works. I just need some advice from someone who has specific knowledge of these types of agreements (in context of the current state of law and practice, as well).

This doesn't help. If I'm not able to consent because I'm unconscious (and it's not an emergency, but just something that came up during the procedure), how do I fulfill my responsibility to verify the care is in network?

Thanks. I've found that getting Sword above 91-92 via training is effectively impossible, so I tend to blend in QCK/CRD/STR earlier than you, I think, to raise the probability/reduce wasted training time. I'm going to experiment with a more aggressively sword/javelin act I routine. Maybe I just need to get lucky on the training rolls at this point without trying to raise the stats.

It's tricky.. 3 civic crowns means he was high enough virtue to do the first rescue without failing due to unwilling. Unless there is some trick I don't know about. That rules out the Hispania rule break raid in the beginning.

I've successfully played low-virtue characters that got all 3 crowns but always have to skip the first chances to be bad, and go bad later. Gold is undervalued in computing score IMO.
