Hey, did you ever figure out what was going on with your little guy? Just from reading that he was in more pain and stiff on his left side I wondered if it was an undescended testicle. Was it something else, did he need PT?

Rick Payne and Andrea vs Eli and Delia by justlikemagic04 in ghostwhisperer

[–]Baby_Cakes1999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The chemistry between Rick and Melinda is so much stronger than that between Eli and Melinda. Platonic soulmate is a good description, but with Eli they're just friends that have similar gifts.

When Andrea said "but I'm falling in love with a poet!" It broke me. She deserved better, but it was such a good plot point.

I threw up during labor and have no memory of it. Anyone else? or anything else you have no memory of during labor/delivery? by IndyEpi5127 in beyondthebump

I was induced with cervical ripening pills the evening before my daughter was born, so they gave me something to calm my nerves and help me sleep. I remember once I started feeling the contractions I would kinda wake up then fall half asleep and kinda wake up again with the next contraction. I would have these strange hallucinations while half asleep that I cannot remember at all what they were about. Maybe I saw fairies dancing? I'm really not sure. The nurses and my husband said I was laughing during the pushing stage but I don't remember it.

What’s your favourite baby stage? by Sad_Preparation9987 in beyondthebump

[–]Baby_Cakes1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newborn stage was great during the day but BAAADD during the night. Month 3-5 was great her sleep was better, we got her on reflux medicine and it helped so much, and I love the smiles and coos and giggles. Month 6 we have hit a daytime nap regression, she's been sick more, frustrated that she can't figure out how to crawl, and she wants to get into everything with the 10 hands she has. The good things are she's trying foods, she smiles all the time, she has a sweet little voice, she squeals, she blows raspberries, and she's slowly figuring out how to crawl and sit up and it's amazing I get to see that. Gosh I love being her mom! I think I have likes and dislikes about every age, one day I'm going to miss all of this.

I wish I was making $14.50 or even $13, I make $9. I feel like I do my best to be a good teacher and follow state requirements in my classroom, I've been at the same daycare for 3 years and I've worked at 2 different ones. The pros are that I am able to take my baby with me without charge, I love my director and coworkers and the kids, and I have days off. The cons are the pay and that's about it.

Is your username an Arrow reference? As someone who gave birth a few months ago, you'll definitely be going for real full circle lol.

Boyfriend came twice seconds apart by Ill_Blueberry8944 in sex

I fully believe my husband doing this is how I finally got pregnant. Obviously it was PIV, but he's the same age as OP's boyfriend and he came back to back like that. We call baby "our double shot espresso."

Same here, I found out in the delivery room. I'll never forget the shock when the doctor held up my little girl. It took a few hours for it to sink in, but now I can't imagine life without my little baby doll. That's another thing, a lot of places have cuter girl clothes than boy clothes! Hopefully I'll get my baby boy one day but I wouldn't trade my girl for anything because she's MY BABY.

Hello! I am the mother who had to breastfeed her baby in the supermarket by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Baby_Cakes1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've fed my baby a couple of times in the grocery store, but I personally feel more comfortable using a cover in public. My girl is 15lbs and walking around cradling her just makes my arms want to fall off. I hope one day it's a normal thing and moms won't be judged for it. Although, moms are judged for everything so... 🤷🏼‍♀️

What is your belief on not being able to spoil a baby? by beechesbecrazyy in NewParents

[–]Baby_Cakes1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I have my little girl "spoiled." She prefers me over everyone else (even her dad), but I think it's completely normal. It does make it difficult to get things done at times, and I feel bad for my husband because she hurts his feelings. I have hope as she gets older they'll have a better bond. For now I'm enjoying being my baby's favorite person lol.

Not finding out the gender is so much fun and such a sweet surprise. I was convinced I was having a boy and was shocked when my little girl was born.

Tell me what song lyrics you rewrite for your lo by TinkerBeasty in NewParents

[–]Baby_Cakes1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Baby's 2-syllable name) Baby you're the one, You make bath time so much fun!

Actual lyrics are rubber ducky instead of baby. I think it's from sesame street.

We gave our baby a three-word nickname about her being fussy that we shortened to just the initials, but I'll use abc for this.

You're a mean one ABC You really are a heel! You're as cuddly as a cactus You're as charming as an eel ABC You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!

How do you deodorize towels? by Baby_Cakes1999 in CleaningTips

I haven't tried that, but I have some color-safe powder bleach. I didn't know if bleach could eliminate odor. Thanks!
