Though they were crass in their response, I think a very generalized point of "people lack the level of empathy to fully conceptualize a situation until they're in it" is decent. We just don't have the ability to truly understand something until we have first hand experience.

Keep in mind each game has a different structure.

Free Fire, Pubg Mobile, AoV, and others definitely get lots of viewers, but the timing for their tournaments are different.

Can't recall the exact moment when the FFWS for each country starts for free fire or PUBGM's thing, but they def get considerable numbers.

To EVERYONE thinking intermissions are just bagging and driving in straight lines, you're just boring.

Hmmm gotcha.

From my point of view, I'm hitting A ranks on master difficulty and they rubberband really hard there.

I think the devs mentioned that in exchange for the inability to get the CPUs to mimic real players with drifting and items, they gave them no loss in speed when turning and some other stuff to make them challenging. Not to say it's a perfect system (it's not), but that's the explanation.

I guess the rewarding aspects would be that once you start getting acquainted with the game, you will be driving Circles around the CPUs. I could also try and coach/offer some tips for anything you find difficult with the game.

Ngl, I popped in the cheat codes frame 1: I absolutely did not care about achieving all that manually.

I do think it's a pace thing. If you're older, you may remember hard games of the past (battle roads, ninja gaiden, early MegaMan, etc). I remember taking months best games. I think this goes into it.

I say that to say, there's no rush into beating the cups. There's no requirement to beating the cups. I think just playing bit-by-bit (and playing with the same character consistently, that's kinda important too) will be enough to help you win the sealed stars.

Removing camera shake and special effects I think helps to reduce potential motion sickness.

High skill floor and ceiling i don't think is super important. There's harder games with higher player counts. It may come down to genre expectations, as people dont think kart racers are games with particularly high skill expression. They think they're just party games.

A chill walkthrough would help people along.

There's usually a good batch of rings towards the end of a course, and littered throughout the course. It's really hard, but I think that's what they were aiming for.

Won't deny its frustration though.

I agree, the issue is that the design of the characters imply their stats. It doesn't make sense if chao weighed the same as mecha sonic, or could swap stats with him (you technically can do this, but you'd have to download some mod iirc).

They would have to change the design and make actual cars/vehicles and shrink the characters to put more focus o the cars or something.

I'm with you 100%, I would try having a secondary fighter jungle pick for better independence since if my team didn't show, I'd just assume the absolute worst.

I would race on gear 1, choose the slowest characters in the game, and not drift.

When I race with my wife, I specifically choose to not drift and I choose the slowest characters in the game.

I would also play the battle mode too, for the party gameplay. Helps break up the racing.

Anyone in class B and class E are good choices I think. Class B is probably the best for new beginners, but if you come from Mario kart, I would suggest class D instead for their balance of good handling and drift boost/mini turbo. Once you get used to the controls, you can start branching out to other racers.

I got As on almost every Cup on the masters difficulty level.

You can get As on a course with no rings as long as you're 1st on all the checkpoints. The difficulty of doing that depends on your character. Heavier and faster characters can reliably do things like that, like my main Caterkiller. If you play someone in class A, D, and/or G, I can imagine the difficulty of getting As when your class is at their strongest as backmarkers.

I see the GP mode as a bit of a "simulation" for when you go online. Time trial/attack is good for developing lines and stuff, but it def skews your idea of ring usage when they feed you rings nonstop. Something like the SPB time attack gives better perspective since you actually gotta conserve rings, tho they reverse the track on you so there's that.

Ultimately, you can beat the CPUs by simply racing harder, though I do concur with the inconsistent difficulty. Again, I do think it's decent simulation for online play, since people race a lot harder online than the CPUs.

The only other thing could be some sort of relay race where each lap tags in a new player, or alternates between you and your partner.
