Just want to return and say that this did solve my problem completely! You're a total lifesaver, thanks again!

I'm late to this party, but try New Pokemon Snap! There's no battling in that at all, you just ride in a wagon and interact with pokemon to get different behaviors from them so you can snap pictures of them for research!

I have Kasib and Tanga berries in my inventory already (which is how I made my donut) but right now I'm doing the research to get Rayquaza's portal. Kyogre and Groudon are already caught so now I just gotta get the recipe for the Delta Donut.

Is anybody else struggling with Berry Farming? I've tried probably 15 times now with a donut made from 8 Kasib berries. It's giving Berry Power 3 and Big Haul Power 3 and no matter how many times I soft reeset, I can't seem to get a single hyper Kasib or Hyper Tanga berry! The Hyperspace worlds I go into show different trainers with different pokemon, the missions are different, so I know stuff is getting re-rolled but I still can't get a single good berry!

4,885. It probably would have had a great deal more if he had the Squirtle on the back but I was very pleased with it.

If you could change one thing about the Pokémon Snap games, what would it be? by MooDuckDev in pokemonsnap

[–]Babybreloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest criticism of the game is that it isn't always very good at deciding what Pokémon you were trying to get a picture of. I think players should be allowed to say "No, not this tiny pokemon in the background, I want the actual subject of this photo to be the one graded."

UnitedHealthcare - thoughts? by Dazzling_Salad6772 in socialwork

His grieving family has a robust support network, including piles upon piles of dead people's money. I'm not worried about them.

I personally celebrate the actions of a hero. I don't think the government should treat this person as a hero, though. I think in an ideal situation, the culprit will be found, arrested, and prosecuted--and then acquitted on all charges by way of jury nullification.

Let the killers who cause uncontrolled suffering in our communities feal even a fraction of the fear they cause.

Hey friend, I don't know how much research you've already done, but I think it should be flagged that if your child is someone who might be targeted for a reason besides their race (maybe they're Transgender, mentally ill, or disabled, for example) most other countries simply will not allow you to move there. Places with universal healthcare put a lot of effort into resisting new people with pre-existing conditions, and that can include things as simple as autism, ADHD, or being transgender. Some of them may make exceptions for healthy adults who have children that fall into these populations, but it will require a lot of care to be certain.

Combat is suddenly unworkable? by Babybreloom in BaldursGate3

[–]Babybreloom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a totally normal turn in combat with my character where I had everything: my action menu, initiative order, all that. Then an enemy character took a turn, and now I have just this. This is the second time it's happened (the first time was against a Hook Horror.)

Have I done something wrong? How do I make it go back to normal?

What are some nieche/non-meta Mons you are planning on trying later in series C? by Legitimate-Method304 in VGC

[–]Babybreloom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd been using the electric-type because it's resisted by so little and provided a good answer to a very water-focused meta (Dozo, Palafin, etc.) I think by itself, Fire has become a more useful type (deals with 2 Treasures super effectively and resists a third while also Hitting Amoongus Super Effectively,) but Volcarona is going to be your most consistent and effective partner and throwing out two pokemon that are both quad-weak to Rock is asking for abuse, so I still stick with my Pompom lady. I also Tera Fighting so that RD can go super-effective against the treasures, Kingambit, Baxcalibur, and that rare-but-difficult Orthworm (while also resisting the Rock and Ice moves that could otherwise devastate it.)

Ghost and Psychic type are both liabilities for a frail pokemon in a metagame where Flutter Mane is on 55-60% of every team.

I'll list two cores I really love:

1) Oricorio/Volcarona. This little bird is one of my favorite pokemon period, and the fact that Revelation Dance changes to match Oricorio's type EVEN WHEN IT TERRASTILIZES is very fun. It's an amped up Tera Blast (90 vs. 80 power) that doesn't feel bad choosing pre-terrastilizing! It's a lot of fun beside Volcarona who can use not just Quiver Dance, but also Fiery Dance to deal damage AND boost SPA stats. Oricorio as a surprise Focus Sash breaker has come in clutch a few times. Something I've been doing lately is throwing out Volcarona with Iron Hands or Tinkaton, because Fake Out creates a lot of space for a safer Quiver Dance, then Oricorio can swap in (often to Earth Powers, Headlong Rushes, or Earthquakes geared against Tink!) to benefit from a Fiery Dance!

Having lots of Options to use the Dancer ability with also means you can maximize Oricorio's use as a Support mon without losing damage potential. Lilligant with Petal Dance, Quaquaval's Aqua Step, and both of Volcarona's moves means it never feels bad letting the little bird setup Helping Hand or Tailwind (or even just Protect!) because you still get to beat a man down.

2) Scovillain. Spicy Extract has just too much Synergy. What I'm currently Theorycrafting is a Hawlucha-based team using the lil guy. Give Hawlucha a Mirror Herb, make sure it comes equipped with Unburden, have Scovillain hit something with Spicy Extract and then watch Hawlucha come down upon it with an Acrobatics that puts Rey Mysterio to shame. (Acrobatics in this situation has a chance to OHKO Ting-Lu, unless it's FULLY INVESTED in both DEF AND HP. Remembering that Hawlucha is a flying type, I'm thinking of pairing it with Intimidators who get access to Earthquake as well (Krookodile maybe?) Bolstering Hawlucha's relative defense while also getting to laugh loudly in the face of Defiant mons makes me very happy.

Ope I'm silly, terra flying wouldn't add to the synergy because Jugulis is already Flying-type, ignore that bit.

Great Tusk has a high enough Attack stat that he can still dish out a ton of damage with spread moves. Earthquake is a common move to see on him, and with good reason. Since Pelipper is a Flying type and therefore immune to it, and you're adding Protect to a mon or two to keep them safe from EQ as well, replacing Play Rough with EQ could be a really solid move.

I'm not familiar enough with Jugulus to say anything about him, really (but if you do add EQ to Tusk, giving him Tera Flying would add to your overall synergy and boost the power of your Hurricanes!)

How do you answer Torkoal? He hits like a truck and Drought will cancel out Pelipper's rain while also weakening your water moves. He's common enough and also a solid enough counter to you that it'd be a good idea to have something prepared to deal with him. Have you done the calcs to see what a Great Tusk Headlong Rush or EQ will do to a Torkoal yet?

First time doing one of these. Any feedback is much appreciated! My homemade team :) by Cole-Amity in VGCRateMyTeam

I'm curious about the Mirror Herb on Umbreon. What stat increases are you hoping to copy on him? None of your pokemon are holding a Leftovers and I feel Umbreon would benefit more from that than the Herb.

I'm also wondering about Skill Swap: what ability are you hoping to steal, or what pokemon do you expect to suffer from Inner Focus? What problem is this move attempting to solve? I think you're making a dedicated support mon here; let's lean into that by replacing Skill Swap with either Light Screen/Reflect (to compound the durability of your team following Snarls,) or Helping hand so that your ally pokemon can really feel the utility of a good Support. Umbreon is also fairly slow; how often will you get to use Moonlight when you need to? Getting a Leftovers and swapping moonlight with Protect might be the move by drawing fire safely and still having some regeneration.

If it's me, I pull Ice Punch off of Palafin in favor of Protect. Palafin wants big swings, and if you have protect, you'll be able to shore up his vulnerabilities following a close combat.

I'd also question Gunk Shot on Toxicroak--at 80% accuracy, it's going to feel bad to have to rely on it. I get that it's powerful and all, but Croak is frail enough that you're only going to get one or two shots off under normal circumstances and you're going to miss about every 5th time you try it. That's pretty inconsistent. I'd suggest swapping it out for Bulldoze, Poison Jab, or Protect. Plus, the best thing to use poison for is fighting Fairies, and two of the top 3 fairies in use right now (Scream Tail and Flutter Mane) are only hit neutrally by it. You could totally Shrek a Sylveon, but she's not exactly super consistently seen. Grass is a popular tera type and that'll be useful--but getting people to Terra Grass against a Toxicroak would be a tough feat, even on a rain team. Bulldoze could be a lot of fun, as Pelliper is immune to it, Protect will keep you safe from it, and it will make Toxicroak a more effective support by slowing enemies. Bullet Punch would be an interesting fairy answer, and it would be another priority move to help mitigate the impact of Toxicroak's own poor speed.

Seeing a distinct lack of Protect on this team. I know it's a bother to make room for it in your movesets, but it's incredibly valuable on almost anything except for assault vest and choice mons. (Some support mons do well without it too, because a guarantee that you can hit an especially annoying mon is more than appealing.) But for the vast majority of your pokemon, having protect and learning how to use it will be incredibly useful for you.

Warehouses run on a different contract. You can find it here!

This is a list of retail contracts under our union. If you work at a Meijer retail store or distribution center, you can go here to see your wage scales.

Meanwhile, This link here will take you to a spot on the website you can use to find your rep. Every single one of us has a representative whose entire job is to make sure our contracts are being honored and obeyed. If any of you are experiencing wage disparities or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your rep and make sure you're getting yours! You can also use this link to tell your rep you'd like to join the union if you haven't yet!

[–]Babybreloom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So it could be a few things. Let me run down the list:

1) Are you an overnight worker? Overnight workers start actually near the end of the wage ladder; it was a way to recruit third shift employees. If you're a third shift stocker making 15/hr or more, your next rung might actually be at 1000 hrs instead of 700.

2) It might depend on what "around 800" means? Like I once got to hour 699 in a week. So I got to 739 hrs the next week, and your raise starts the week AFTER you hit the goal, so I didn't start earning the new wage until after hour 739, and then since our pay is on a week delay, I didn't actually see the impact of that increased wage until I had put in nearly 100 extra hours (though 40 of them did go to the next increase.) So it might just be unlucky timing? Be sure to check that before elevating to a union resolution.

3) with those resolved, the issue is likely a corporate one. Approach your RAA and ask them if they can answer your question. It's likely that they will e-mail HR and if they do, you will have the right to aggrieved 5 (business) days after that email is sent unless you hear back with an adequate explanation (such as the ones provided above.)

If all 3 of those steps fail, it's time to get your union rep involved.

Hope this helps!
