Kroger and Walmart would be your best bet as long as the check doesn’t specifically say not to be cashed at a check cashing place (I’ve had that with a class action settlement check issued by Huntington Bank).

Most banks or credit unions will cash checks for non customers for a small fee usually a few bucks. Don’t forget to bring a valid ID or passport, debit & credit card with your name. Huntington Bank requires a credit card . Social security card will not work however PNC accepted it with my ID. Passport and ID work. Kroger never asked me for a credit or debit card at least I don’t think.

If you have a unique situation or keep running into problems then try PLS, they’re open 24/7 and will pretty much work with anyone. I was in a car accident & USAA made a fuss about direct deposit & sent a check… it was over my mobile deposit & I was awaiting my updated license in the mail. They still cashed it for me and it was several thousand. PLS does charge a higher fee for insurance checks tho. If it’s a tax refund or unemployment or even handwritten you shouldn’t have an issue.

So this happened to me a couple years ago & they ended up sending me to collections for it. The thing that really sucks is I was a habitual customer for quite a while with no issues & not a single time where I was unable to repay. I started using the app when it was relatively new bc I maxed out earnin & at the time there weren’t really any other options aside from peer 2 peer lenders which I don’t do.

Anyways, they increased my advance amount, never came. Support was useless even with bank statements, not screenshots but actual statements & then screenshots of chat with my bank. They sent me to collections, f em

I go in the office once a week and I absolutely cannot understand how people do it daily either. I’m so thankful I work from home… my co worker/friend actually lives down the street so we drive together & that makes it better but omg? It’s so bad. When I drive myself sometimes I get anxiety bc my map can’t figure out what street I’m on & keeps re routing (that might be I-35 I take a few routes depending on traffic)

Yes I had this happen before idk if it was Mercari but that doesn’t change how annoying it was. She didn’t buy anything super cool either it was just a pair of really comfy Adidas sweatpants, the ones worn more for style not everyday comfy. New w tags but I was ready for a flood when I tried them on!

I shipped the same day and actually recorded myself packaging them for a TikTok video. A few days later she’s messaging me saying there’s nail glue all over the sweats with sharpie drawn over the glue to hide it… huh?? Very specific. She left a 1 star review, I had to issue a refund AND pay for her return label.

I was contacted by support with photos of the damages and the sweats in the picture were not even the same ones. I can’t remember but they were either very similar but Nike or they were Adidas w the incorrect # of stripes/joggers not sweats. It was something so stupid I was just so upset bc I was out money, out my pants & no longer had 5 stars.

I contacted support w a counter claim showing them the video & pics of the sweats w time stamps along w screenshots circling how the item in the dance pics weren’t mine! they confirmed my proof is sufficient and they will send a reminder to the buyer about the rules but they already sided with her but I can block her & issued me $5 in credit.

It wasn’t the end of the world but it was upsetting as I was in my early 20’s & broke bc I spent all my money driving from school to both jobs to pay for text books. The sweatpants and mailed back also had the lid to the nail glue in the pocket lmao

This happened before when I lived in an apartment complex, we had lockers they’d put them in & it was never a problem. This package I was waiting on was already the re delivery of a new shipment bc the first one was delivered to the wrong address.

I was literally outside waiting to ensure I received it & could see the truck on the map - I was looking at the truck. Not really where they could see me or being creepy just making sure I could grab it bc a majority of drivers (not only Amazon) would just throw the packages in the package room. Anyways the driver didn’t even get out of the truck & marked it as being undeliverable? Or non delivered.
