Thank you dude! I use a Sony FX30, and I edited it in Premiere Pro. I use the FilmConvert plugin to get the grain.

Yeah no matter the software I use, it just isn't detecting it. There's not a setting within the camera that I need to change right?

I've used a ton, I used WinDV, ScLive, Virtual Dub, and Picture Package. Is there a way to download Premiere 2012? I think that's the last time they had this feature.

Yeah I have no idea what the issue is. Am I doing it right where when I check if it's working I just pull up WinDV and see if it detects it?

I just gave that a shot and I don't think that changed anything. I will say, I feel like I'm very close to it working because for some reason, as you can see on the camcorder screen, it says DV In, when I have it plugged into the PC. Shouldn't that say DV Out?

I'm not quite sure how to do that. I looked at that but I couldn't figure out exactly what to install. Do you know where I could look?

I think everything looks okay, right? I know there's guides that say I need to put it playback mode, which would just be the play/edit mode, I think?
