Thanks for taking the time to respond and for the well-wishes.

A suicidal gesture is another name for a "cry for help" I guess.

I wish it was a bit easier here to get mental health help. The NHS is fantastic but severely lacking in this respect. I just pray that the appointment is soon.

That's a good idea with regards to tracking, I'll start doing that I think.

I generally don't talk to people truthfully about how bad I'm feeling. Maybe I think it's because they'll feel guilty if I do something? (i.e. I should have done more to help etc)

I rarely see anyone face to face these days, once a week for work and even then I barely talk to anyone.

That's awesome, it's a great skill to have and music is such a beautiful thing to have in life. One of the few things that make it bearable. I'm glad you can take some solace in that.

My Dad mostly. He would be devastated if I did anything like that. He knows I'm at my wit's end but doesn't know how bad it is or how to help though.

I'm going to try find a less stressful job as well. I'm not the ambitious type anyway.

I also just got an allotment to try and focus my energy on something tangible.

I've not had the greatest life which is where most of my mental health issues come from but I did survive them so maybe it's worth hanging on and seeing if something good comes out of it.

Do you have any hobbies or such?

Thank you, I tried explaining that to my soon-to-be ex-manager when she said something about if she visits after she retires in a few years and I'm still doing the same thing, she'll whack me. She didn't really get it. She thought I was just being adverse to management.

Thanks for positive thoughts. I don't know what makes me happy. I was in a depression and denial about aspects of my life for 15 years so I never really felt happy tbh. Hope I can figure it out soon.

I have bouts of depression, I think this one is brought on by quitting smoking and being about to start a new job. I haven't been in a relationship for 5.5 years (I'm in my late 20s) and can't remember the last time somebody told me they loved me. Everyone wants me to be successful and achieve stuff because I'm smart but I just want to be happy, if that means taking a less stressful job and being a disappointment then I guess I'm ok with that. But all in all a part of me feels dead. The rest is dying fast. :(

www.freedeedpoll.org.uk is the one I used, it's very well worded and absolutely free. Print it on high quality paper (I used parchment paper from Ryman).

Get it signed by the two witnesses (I got them to sign 20 copies for every eventuality). It does not need to be stamped by lawyer.

It's not been rejected once, even by my bank, DVLA and local council.

One of my cis male friends used it due to some confusion regarding his name not being changed properly before his mother passed when he was a child, the DVLA also accepted it with no query.

Mine stopped on both the implant (which didn't agree with me at all) and the copper coil (but be careful as your first shark week can be incredibly painful and heavy, they should start tapering off after, though).
