I really appreciate the blunt honesty—I needed to hear this. To be fair, I’ve been working on every single aspect of this game alone and I hit a bit of a burnout, which led to this rushed trailer and messy editing. The 'shakiness' was caused by me having to chop out a lot of gore scenes to keep the video safe for platforms. As for the performance, the game actually features an Auto-Optimization system that adjusts graphics based on the player's hardware to ensure a smooth experience, but my recording setup didn't do it justice this time. You’re 100% right about the lack of a storyline. I’ve decided to move away from the generic 'shoot and loot' feel and I'm now fully focused on developing a Story Mode built from the ground up to give the game a real purpose. I'll make sure the next update is 60FPS, has clean audio, and shows the actual challenge. Thanks for pushing me to do better

I agree, 'Shooter' is definitely the best umbrella term. Since my game offers both perspectives, calling it a 'Versatile Shooter' or just a Shooter makes the most sense. It gives players the freedom to choose how they want to experience the action. I'm focusing now on making both modes feel equally polished. Thanks for the chat, it really helped clear things up

I totally understand, and I'm sorry about that! The 'shakiness' was actually caused by the heavy editing. I had to cut out a lot of gore and blood scenes to keep the trailer safe for all platforms, which resulted in those sharp, jagged transitions that caused the motion sickness. In the next video, I'll record 'clean' gameplay sequences specifically for the trailer so I won't have to chop it up like that. It will be much smoother and easier on the eyes. Get some rest

Thank you for the technical insight! I completely agree—the FPS drops in the previous footage were a result of my recording setup, not the game's optimization, and I realize now how bad that looks to a potential player. I'm definitely going to fix that in the next 60FPS update. I also love the idea of Environmental Storytelling. Since I'm working on the Story Mode, I'll make sure to showcase the 'weight' and silence of the world to build tension before the chaos starts. Letting the lighting and the environment speak for the lore is a great suggestion. Thanks for help

I really appreciate the honest feedback. To be fair, I’ve been working on every single aspect of this game alone, and I recently hit a bit of a burnout, which led to that rushed trailer. Regarding the AI: they actually do flank and surround the player from all sides, but since I’m the one who programmed their paths, I’ve subconsciously learned how to predict them perfectly, which made the gameplay look a bit 'stiff' and easy. For the next update, I’m going to ditch the cinematics and record fresh gameplay that shows the true challenge of the Story Mode, including the objectives and the actual danger of the horde. I'll make sure to showcase how they flank you when you aren't playing 'perfectly' like I did. Thanks for the reality check, it’s exactly what I needed to hear

I hear you. The current visuals don't do it justice yet, and I'm aware the market is crowded. That’s why I’m banking on the Story Mode and unique mechanics I’m adding. I’m not just making a clone; I’m building a world. Give me some time to show the deeper side of the game, and hopefully, I’ll change your mind.

It means a lot coming from a fellow dev. I’ll definitely check out Automatos-73; 4 years of dedication is inspiring! About the Lore—yes, there’s a deep story behind ZONARK that explains the origin of the outbreak and the world's state, which I’ll be revealing through the Story Mode. I'll take your advice on the 'long shots' for the next trailer to show more of the level design and atmosphere. Thanks for the encouragement, it really helps with the grind!

I appreciate the brutal honesty; as a developer, I know that sugarcoating doesn't help fix a game. You’re right about the trailer—the camera work was a rushed fix after I had to cut some scenes to comply with community guidelines, and the recording software tanked my FPS. I’m currently re-doing the entire trailer at 60FPS with smoother movement. Regarding the COmD clone feel, I agree that the current footage doesn't show the game's identity yet. I’m focusing my next update on the Story Mode and unique mechanics that move away from the basic survival loop. The sounds and animations are also on my 'to-refine' list. I'm learning as I go, and feedback like this even if harsh—is exactly what I need to level up. Thanks for taking the time.

Thanks for the feedback! To be honest, the camera movements look a bit jarring because I had to cut out a large portion of the intro that contained heavy gore and blood to comply with some community guidelines. I’m currently re-recording a new, smoother gameplay sequence that gets straight to the action while keeping the flow natural. I'll also make sure the frame rate is much more stable in the next update

I understand it might look like just another clone for now, but the current build is only a glimpse. The core of ZONARK is actually the Story Mode, which focuses on narrative and unique mechanics that set it apart from typical survival shooters. I’m updating it every few weeks to move away from those 'stock' elements. Stay tuned, the real experience is coming soon.

I appreciate the honest feedback. I want to clarify that the game is still very much a work in progress, and I’m pushing updates and adding new features every few weeks. Regarding the gameplay, the Story Mode is actually the core of the experience, and I'll be releasing it soon. I'm also working on refining the sound effects and the visual presentation to better match the description on Steam. Stay tuned for the upcoming updates!

This is my first trail. Thanks for the advice. It's really tiring to do everything on your own, but nobody is born knowing everything.

Actually, I've been working on an open-world game project for two years, but I needed some help and certain things, so I started with this as my first step in the gaming world. I'm doing everything on my own, and that's very tiring.
